Sailed to Korinthia looking for Myrrine and dealed with The Monger privately. Alexios is beginning to see how dealing things privately is preferable to a public execution. He bonded with Lykinos, a humble poet, with whom he learned some things other than violence. He turned down his brother Timotheos, who needed to overcome his thirst for blood.

He also encountered Athena, who impersonated a simple woman, and learned quite a bit about gods.
