After her late lunch, Jen had been planning on skipping dinner altogether, but her growling stomach wouldn’t let her. She put it off until the last possible second but eventually ambled out of her room and down to the kitchen where she opened the fridge and stared mindlessly at the contents. A small corner was reserved for her and Hayden’s food and its supply was running a little low. Still, there was enough for Jenny to make a decent salad and save herself the trouble of actually cooking. She collected the items she needed and dropped the armful onto the table before setting off to find the ever-disappearing knife and cutting board she preferred. When she whirled back around she noticed a familiar blonde and offered a small smile before stopping short. Lyla. It couldn’t be the same one--the Lyla that was talking to Nate... could it? How many people were really named Lyla after all. Her eyebrows furrowed as she attempted not to stare the girl down, turning back to her meal prep with a suddenly racing mind.
