IMHO, I’ve always felt that allowing anon comments on a site like this encourages such bad behaviour.
Yeah, anon does bring out the worse in people. However if Tumblr will not do anything about any situation then it is a bigger issue. I turn anon off on most blogs because I know it can be an issue.
Plenty of the treats I got were openly posted on this persons blog and Tumblr told me to go to the police? Even though both the UK have harassment laws, and sites do have some responsibility with this. However Tumblr don't seem to care and have a very flawed block system on top of that. When I IP's blocked this person the situation died down very fast.
However before that I was getting a lot of hate sent my way. Since this person was sending people after me as well, which Tumblr allowed under the lazy banner of freedom of speech. Which is pretty fucked up IMO.
