Happy sts! If you were one of your creatures (or characters If you don’t have creatures) who would you be?
I’ve been thinking about this since I got up and saw it over an hour ago... I’m still torn between hybrids and sirens. Either way, they can’t really be out in the sun, which is the only draw back.
Why I’d be a hybrid:
They are the Ultimate Predator and will and can kill anything
They are super powerful, the most powerful creature in their world
If I’m a hybrid, that would mean I’d most likely know one of the first hybrids (Kyle’s crew, which is Elspeth, Caleb, Michael and of course Kyle. Jesse was in that crew as well but he never was turned, as he escaped Kyle and Michael)
They are incredibly strong and fast and can teleport anywhere they wish to, and depending on the hybrid, some can even teleport to places they’ve never been if they know the address of the place they’re trying to go to
The only real cons are that there are people that hate them because they feel that it is “real life god modding” to be that powerful and they want them all dead and also the fact that they can’t be in the sun. Depending on if you were a human or a werewolf when you were turned (in my case, I’d have been a human), that decides the severity of being in the sun. You also can’t be around bright lights, especially like strobe lights, as it’s debilitating. Also, I feel like the super hearing would be a bit of a downfall, living in an apartment with people screaming at each other all the time and I would probably be hearing people having sex all the time which would be... weird.
Why I’d be a siren:
Super strength, enough said
They are incredibly beautiful
Powerful singing that’ll put its listeners into a trance
The biggest con of being a siren would be the fact that they also can’t really be out of the water. If they are out on land long enough for their tail to dry out and become legs, it is incredibly painful and even after the transformation, it remains super painful while they walk around, to the point that it drives them crazy if they walk around too long.
Also, there’s the whole fact that they can’t be in oceans or lakes that aren’t their own. Instead of just hurting their legs, this would hurt every portion of their body. Like everything. And it slowly poisons them. So that’d suck. You can’t really travel. And the novel proves that even bringing your own water with you isn’t enough :x
