💖 Developing a crush

I see him a bit like an eager dog. He'll 'accidentally' show up wherever his crush is, if they mention they need or like something offhandedly it will be mysteriously done or show up at their door. Laughs at any joke they say. Lots of wistful gazing. This man is a yearner. Will he ask for a date? No! Will he end up spending enough time with them that it's practically a date? Absolutely! In my head he's also vaguely aspec, so like, it's a very close friendship/romantic/relationship Thing, but he doesn't strictly draw lines between romantic partners and friends.

9: What's something you always come back to when drawing?

I guess that would probably be the fashion/outfit design aspect! I can't really bring myself to not go crazy with outfits when given the opportunity!

19: Where do you get your inspiration from?

A lot of my outfit ideas come from pinterest, I think I have over 1200 pins on my art reference boards!

Most of the subjects of my drawings come from my daydreaming, fics, and headcanons! The other part comes from my fandom friends or sometimes song lyrics.

19. where do you find inspiration?

I get a lot of inspiration from other artists, so places like Instagram, Tumblr, and Pinterest are often my starting places for ideas. With Pinterest in particular, I'll use that to look at interesting clothing, especially vintage fashion. At the moment my feed is full of 60s medieval revival fashion, and fantasy book covers. Another thing I really like doing for inspiration, but just haven't had the energy/ free time for a while is going on a Little Trip™️, especially something like hiking. I'll take a sketchbook and a camera and just doodle and snap stuff for a couple of days. Sitting and appreciating nature is great for getting excited to draw and write alike 💖

30. whats something youre proud of about your artstyle?

I'm really proud of how I draw expressions, and how far I've come in that respect in the past few years. I think especially during the pandemic, when I was drawing a lot of Star Trek comics, I got pretty decent at it because I had to actually study the actors' faces to make a good likeness of them in a simplified style. A lot of the time, when I'm drawing comics, I have a habit of using a funny facial expression as a punch line 😂 it might be lazy writing, but I love a good silly face!
