oh to be lyssel arcpod. crawling through the vents. reprogramming cleaning robots to be my friend
Shhh... what’s this? A small teaser line from ep 17? Don’t tell the producers...
IMAGE ID: Screenshot of text in Courier New. It reads: [DOOR OPENS] Lyssel. That's a worm! Z. No, that's Kass.
A day late like usual! It was raining yesterday and I didn’t have the energy to go for a walk and that’s about the only time I listen to podded casts nowadays, but I did today and it was cold and gloomy but it was nice to get out and arcpod always makes it good!
Okay so Lyssel’s a MOOD, I, too, would hide in the vents to listen to a friend broadcast to not bother them. Love the way they talk! “You know how it is when a skytrain’s in the wrong lane and it throws everything outta wack. Don’t wanna be a virus, y’know?” LIke I know what that means and I vibe with the way they said it!!
Teddy’s a real neat character, I do hope that eventually he’ll find something other than spite to live for, tho. He deserves something good! And the possibility of Hardizan being involved in the war,,,, this could *go* somewhere,,,,
Also I would listen to Kass talk about fruits and vegetables and gardening for hours that was real real nice I think I’ma eat a vegetable.
If you don’t enjoy the holidays, for any number of reasons, Lyssel feels your pain and is here for you. Sometimes days that are meant to be happy can just be stressful and overwhelming.
Ranking our cyberpunk characters from least to most knowledge of horses:
Lux: What is this “horse” you speak of.
Memorie:
(Is it a made up video game thing? An exotic pet? A type of carrier robot?)
Nikki: Aware that a horse is a type of large riding animal that exists in the Empire. She knows exactly as much about horses as she cares to. (When she thinks of horses, she is picturing something closer to a bull.)
Kass: Kass had no clue what a horse was before they started broadcasting, but now has a decent idea if not a perfect mental picture.
Lyssel: Went down an internet rabbit hole one day five years ago and ended up learning in-detail about horse anatomy. They’ve forgotten most of it, but still have a very basic understanding of Horse.
Soma: Soma actually does know what horses are and can clearly picture them, because they were prominently featured in his second-favourite video game; Betrayer King's Hall. Though admittedly, due to game mechanics, he does think they’re master trackers. (Like bloodhounds).
Station “Employees”
It’s recap time! Here’s what we know about Kass’s coworkers.
Lyssel (they/them)
Mentioned in episode one and two, both times in connection to either fixing or exporting music off of Kass’s “Synth-Tech X”. Jo (she/he)
Jo is also mentioned in both episodes! In episode one, Kass mentions that Jo didn’t let her sing, saying that “singing doesn’t count as music”. In episode two, Kass says that Jo made her a broadcasting schedule, because she “loves doing paperwork” and has a lot of lists and schedules.
Z. (she/her)
Pronounced “Zed”. Z is mentioned briefly at the end of episode two. When Kass is trying desperately to find some sort of silver lining, they remark that the Empire can’t be all that bad, because Z is from The Empire and is “pretty cheery”.
