A Cooper's Hawk and Varied Thrush ran into my house today

Got home to these two birds dead on my front steps. The thrush was killed by the raptor and then the raptor ran into the house dropping his bounty and, most likely, breaking his neck.
My husband had already started asking Facebook what to do with it, forgetting who he is married to. I called fish and wildlife to make sure they knew there was one less raptor in the area and am working on getting the permit to keep this Cooper's Hawk.
A blessing from the gods and an addition to my dead box. It's a good day.
