It seems that the missing students have returned, along with the teachers as well. But what’s that smell? The entire academy wreaks of something -- fish? Are students hiding fishes around the academy? Whatever it is, it seems like the janitorial crew will have to do something in the morning to rid the academy of this smell. But at least.. at least everyone seems to have returned.

Just a quick note in terms of the M!A (for those participating):

The location isn’t set, aside from it being the ocean, far away from civilization. Do with it as you will. You have artistic liberty. Your muse thinks they’ve found a ship wreck with treasure in it? Whoa, better go treasure hunting! Think you’ve found some huge statue that seems a little bit too odd? Maybe there’s a secret passage inside it. Honestly, let your imagination run wild!

In case it isn’t clear in the announcement, your muse basically went to bed as usual last night, but woke up surrounded by water. They can be shirtless (+ shell bra or whatever) or still be in their upper night wear (eg. a shirt).

Yes, you’re entirely a merperson. Finding dry land, going to it and hoping your legs will return will only lead you into a messy situation.

No set tags. So, tag it as you wish as long as it relates to the event.

Yes, even though we’re using the ‘m!a week’ tag, the event itself will run for 2 weeks. We’ll replace/change all the tags to just m!a event soon.

EDIT:

Although a ‘mertalia’ event, if you want your muse to be some other variation of a sea creature (like, part octopus - like Ursula), then by all means, go for it! The default is simply being a merperson!

M!A Event: Splash!

♫ -- Under the sea, under the sea! Darlin' it's better, down where it's wetter, Take it from me! -- ♫

Oh, don't you just love 'The Little Mermaid'?! A mermaid falls helplessly in love with a prince and defies all odds to be with him. A witch who wishes to become the queen of the ocean, and makes a deal with the mermaid. Chaos ensues but at the end of the day, it's a rather happy ending for the mermaid, isn't it? Makes you wonder just how difficult or fun being a mermaid could be.

Too bad they don't exist.. Wait-- Ţ̻̮̦̝h̖͍͈ͅe̩̫̦̯̺͞y͈͍̦̤̟̼͉ ̶̰̯̹̥ḏ̢͔o̳̦̟̦̬̳̯ ̶̳̻̠̠n͖̜̝o͇w̸̲ͅ.

Waking up surrounded by water, clothes soaked and in an area you've never seen in your life! Oh, how I p̕i̶͇̞t̶̮͈̺y̬͈̳̫̳̱͔ all of you. I wonder how long it’ll take before you beg for your legs to return, since you're all merpeople. Wait, are those.. tentacles? I guess not all of you are merpeople. My magic messed up yet again. Oh well..! Still fun, right?

Enjoy your time in the ocean, you little sea creatures. Who knows? Perhaps you'll bump into the sea witch. Maybe trade your voice - or some other talent - for the sake of legs. Swim away from a few pirates and sharks!

Event Period: 02/20/16 - 03/04/16.

This event will run for two weeks in opposed to the usual one week. This way, each muse that is participating will be able to properly explore the world beneath the sea and there’s no need to rush threads!

Of course, with all events, this is not compulsory. If your muse is not participating in the event, then they will be at the academy. The only thing they’ll be aware of is the sudden lack of some students. If you have any questions, feel free to let us know! Let’s make this a fun filled event!

Albeit quite late into the night, when most if not all lights are off and the halls are filled with nothing but white noise and the occasional sound of wind flowing through an open window, accidentally left open by the janitor..

The night is much colder than it normally is around this time of the year. Perhaps it’s just chilly? Though it probably doesn’t matter, seeing as everyone is tucked in bed, sleeping soundly under their warm covers. That is.. until the sound of static emerges from the intercom, following it, a soft voice.

Under the sea, under the sea~

Darling it’s better, down where it’s wetter, take it from me~!

There’s a long pause of silence but it soon continues. There’s no music behind it, only a voice singing merrily into the microphone.

Up on the shore they work all day... Out in the sun they slave away.

While we devotin’ full time to floatin’ under the sea..~

It seems that the ‘announcement’ is over. How peculiar.

Perhaps it was just a dream.

M!A Body Swap

A massive thunderstorm begins to roll into the area, however this is no ordinary storm as everyone will soon find out. A dense and heavy fog lingers after the storm has cleared. Soon a voice comes over the intercom:

“..Guess who's back? Uh huh, it's us. The 'bad guys', as you students like to think of it. I mean, sure.. we may have turned a few people into the opposite sex. We may have had one of our friends curse students into becoming children, and.. who knows, maybe scared a few others along the way. But let's be real here. The 'bad guys'? That's not us, it's you.

Ỳea͜͝͠h,̡͢ w͜e̴'̵̨͢r̨e͡ ̨͝c̀͠al̴̷ļ͢i̵͘͠n̢҉g̷ ̧y̡͟ou͠ ̷a̸l̕͢l̨͡ ̵̛͘o̧͘u͘t̸͠!

We've been reading that newspaper thing. All those rumors, all that slandering, the gossip - all of it. If it isn't us that you're attacking, you spend your lives attacking each other and even teachers! Teachers that are there to educate and aid you. Wow, clap clap. Good job!

Wonder what would happen if you were made to spend a day or a week in their shoes... Actually, that's a marvelous idea, don't you think? It's a new year. How about we start it off with a bang! Fireworks were beautiful and all but c'mon, it's time for some r̨͡ę̀͘a͟҉l͡͠ fun.”

M!A week is over!

Thanks to the cooperation of the teachers, as well as a few parents, we’ve been able to contact this ‘witch’ and have made a deal with her. We won’t go into detail as to what has been said, but know this, every single student should be back to normal when they wake up! Or at least, that’s what we were told. She did say something about keeping an eye out though and to be cautious.. I wonder why? Whatever, we have another problem! Since everyone’s back to normal, does that mean we have to remove the playground? We just set that up too. What to do? What to do.. Do teenagers even like playgrounds?

And this concludes this month’s M!A week! We hope you guys had a blast, for those who participated. If you still have an on-going thread, then go ahead and continue until completion/dropping point. There are little kids on campus...

It seems that something odd has happened. There are little children running around outside. I wonder why..? We don’t have children on campus do we- Oh? An email.

‘Due to the inconsiderateness of some of the teachers of the academy, and even after I had tried to speak to one of them to make things work out, it seems that all my requests have been ignored. You think parenting is such an easy task? IT IS NOT. You messed with the wrong mother. I tapped into my inner witch and now here you have a bunch of teens trapped in a five year old’s body. This is payback! From an EXTREMELY annoyed mother who is also a witch!’

Uh.. Well, that’s that.. [mumble] I guess it’s time to get a playground within the academy to keep them busy, huh.

This event will run for one week, starting today (12th of September) until the 19th of September. You have a choice whether or not you’d like to participate in this event.
