He calls out the fellow captain’s name. Although his expression is the usual grin, the tone is quite serious, not at all what his colleagues are used to. It is a very important matter he has to discuss with Hitsugaya, and the boy is hardly a fan, so he must be on his best behavior if he has any hopes of being heard. “Could I borrow you for a while?”

“Gettin’ kinda sappy there, arent’cha?” He really was one of their best, though, and although he had to leave without her and not tell her where he went or what he was doing, it was all for her. Hurting her was the opposite of what he wanted. “Don’t ya go gettin’ in trouble.”
