“ we haven’t seen very much of you. ” ruby more or less only knows his shop because it’s so close to the woods, where she’s begun to spend more & more time. he’s maybe set foot in granny’s a handful of times, if that -- but she knows of him, and not having seen him since everything came undone, she just wants to check. make sure he’s okay. after all, she knows what it’s like to be sequestered, and thought of as a monster. “ i came to see how you were holding up. or if you were holding up. ”
