“O-oh I’m sorry I didn’t - sorry.” she squats to scoop up the basket and start shoving it’s contents - mostly bread and cheese - back into it. “I was in a rush I’m sorry.”

“Oh I can’t read - I can do maths though, I used to do all the shopping. Feeding two dozen people on a hundred pounds a week isn’t easy.”

“Oh my father says i’m too stupid to read.”

“His name is Sam.” Gilly says, shifting the baby on her hip and looking sheepishly over at the blonde woman. “‘e’s a good boy, already startin’ t’ walk an’ ‘e can say ‘mumma’ now.”

“Well maybe he should have thought of that before he tried bumbling over to me with a dagger!” Rhaegar tells the woman as he looks at the heavy set man whose trying to calm down. “Don’t sneak up on people like that.

“He was just trying to protect the baby!” Gilly snaps, her arms wrapped protectively around little Sam. “We didn’t  know if you were going to hurt us or not.”

She hasn't told anyone yet, scared out of her mind, unsure how she'll hide it. The parasite in her belly had made her sick more than she liked to admit. She's here with Jon and Ygritte at Sam and Gilly's, and despite going through the bathroom, Arya's found unused pregnancy tests, just looking, wondering if... again just to make sure. The door opens, and Arya almost panics, spinning around and seeing Gilly. "I'm pregnant." She blurs out the moment Gilly begins asking her a question.

Gilly had brought Cassia back into the bedroom for a nap, Jon and Ygritte’s children were running about in the living room with Little Sam and Gilly had been able to tell her younger child needed her nap. She’ just opened the door to the bathroom to get a fresh diaper when she see’s Arya. “Arya what are -” oh. 

“Oh - Oh um... okay.” She blinks in shock at the younger girl.

She takes her dirty nightgown off, pulls Jon's on biting her lip and willing her cheeks to cool. It's only Gilly. "No. No one told me. What does it mean?"

Gilly takes the dirtied grown and dips the cloth in the basin again. “OPen yer legs, i’m going to clean between them. That’s where the blood is coming from.” She sweeps the cloth up and starts to clean. “This - well it means you can have a baby when you lie with a man.” She hears the door open and peers around “Toss them here sam.” she holds out a hand and catches the cloth pads and fresh set of small clothes. 

“It will happen once a month from now on.” Gilly says softly. taking a dry rag and drying ARya off. “You’re going to tie this in your small clothes.” She holds out the cloth rag and the small clothes. “It will catch, and a hot water skin will make your belly feel better.”

They bring Gilly, and Sam, but Arya suddenly feels increasingly embarrassed as the silence stretched on, for once refusing to speak. "I am dying," She tells the wildling girl.

Jon goes over to the water basin and dips a cloth in the water. He wrings it out and brings it back damp to Gilly. “Your not dyin’.” Gilly says taking the cloth and wiping up Aryas legs. “Sam is going to run back to our room and get you some cloths. Aren’t you Sam.” Sam opens and closes his mouth a few times before hurrying from the room. “Jon do you have something she can wear?”

“Um, yeah yeah here.” He pulls off his night shirt and holds it out to Gilly who pulls Arya behind a dressing screen.

“Take that dirty one off and let me finish cleaning you up. Didn’t you know this was goin’ t’ happen?”
