do you think you and xuxi are going to be together forever?

“Yes.” he answers without even a second’s worth of hesitation, reiterating with a  less certain, “I mean…I really hope so.” after a moment’s consideration; he’d never met someone who could so easily put him at ease, who made him feel like he genuinely was enough. He was so used to thinking of every relationship as a proving ground, but with Xuxi, things were miraculously simple.

why do you think your friend mark deserves to debut? he's not even that talented

Sicheng scoffs.

“I mean...when did I say that?” he questions pointedly, mostly as a joke, but he does resent words being put in his mouth. 

“Are we talking about the same Mark, though?” he asks, visibly unamused, “He’s a talented kid. And he’s got so much drive and desire to perform. If that doesn’t make him deserving, what does? Enlighten me, since you know so much.”

what's something you miss and can never have back?

“A youthful sense of wonder.” Dejun says after a moment, almost solemn, as though he’s still in mourning, “When you’re young...there’s so much that is awe-inspiring and exciting and you lose that the older you get. I think it’s sad.”

It’s a question he could answer many ways, but the other answers are all ones he’s far less keen to share.

what do you believe in more, ghosts or aliens?

“I mean…ghosts are fake, and aliens are an inevitability.” Minkyung says with a scoff, “Like, probably not little green men visiting in flying saucers but like…life on other planets. It’s really geocentric to genuinely believe Earth is somehow that special. And statistically unlikely. And boring. Whereas ghosts are just superstition that make no sense.”

if you had to choose, who would you rather kiss/be with: felix or haechan?

“Ok. I assume Xuxi has perished in this instance? Because why else…” he mutters, followed by a sigh as he tries to think his way around this one, “Um…Haech is a better kisser, I’d imagine. No offense. But…be with? Well…Haech already has Jaemin, and Felix doesn’t…well, actually…Felix has Jinsoul, apparently,” he speaks the girl’s name with apparent distaste, although she seems perfectly nice from what little contact they’ve had, “So maybe he’s just fine!” he says it through a smile, unaware of how apparent his irritation is, “But…I suppose…he’d still probably be more..” he clears his throat, suddenly very interested in pretending he’d not just said all that he had, ”Felix, I guess.”

would you kiss haechan again if you could? WOULD YOU MARRY HIM?????????? ( in a theoretical world where xuxi or jaemin don't exist )

 Sicheng groans, displeased with this airing of all of his business, but knew that it likely pleased the other boy. 

 “Wonder who this could be…” he play-muses with a raise of his eyebrows, “I mean…I guess he isn’t a bad kisser, so yeah, but marry him? Is that allowed? Shouldn’t he court me? Can’t we try dating first?”

what's your worst memory? what's your best?

 Dejun sighs, “Um…being broken up with is my worst. Guanheng…” he mutters, not really wanting to elaborate on how the man, who he liked to think was now his friend once more, had at one point snapped his heart in twain, and how it remained to this day the first time his dreams had ever really escaped him, his first and only real taste of rejection, “I have a lot of happy memories, though…” he adds, “I don’t want to name any of them as the best. Maybe…well, family trips are all up there, maybe day trips with my friends in school and…Guanheng, as well…”

What do you consider perfect?

 Dejun grips his chin in his dominant hand, humming a hum of thought and consideration, “I don’t believe in perfection.” he confesses, “If anything, I think perfection would be boring wouldn’t it? As humans, we’re flawed creatures, and that’s what makes us real; we wouldn’t be able to relate to perfection.”
