19 and 30 for Loki's children

19. How about a relationship they have in canon that you don't like?

I can't really think of any relationships in the myths for them, other than what I already like! So, one all of Loki’s children have in common, would be with Odin. From the start, Odin treats most of them as threats instead of actual kids, thanks to him seeing the future. (Moral of the story right there, live in the moment!)

Which ends up getting Fenrir, Jörmungandr, and Hel all being banished and mistreated, family completely ruined simply for what they might do in the future and possibly for how they look too. Meanwhile, Sleipnir doesn’t get that same treatment despite the difficult situation of his conception. He’s actually embraced as Odin’s prized steed and isn’t labelled a monster, even though he’s just as unusual as his siblings.

I feel like he'd definitely hold some resentment towards Odin, seeing as he is treating his mother and siblings horribly but at the same time be uncertain where he stands with Loki since I imagine they gave poor Sleip away as soon as possible. At the same time, I think Sleipnir would feel somewhat grateful to be favoured, too! But it's all so unfair, you know? :<

Then you have Narfi and Vali, who usually get overlooked. They weren’t monsters at all, just two normal kids, but they’re dragged into Loki's punishment for something their father did, just because they have his blood and gods couldn't kill him. So they murdered Narfi by turning Vali into a wolf, which most would then call a monster. I don't doubt the poor boy felt the same after losing control like that.. 💔

In conclusion It shows a pattern with Odin. He only sees Loki’s children through the lens of usefulness or danger, never as innocent beings who deserve compassion. I absolutely despise the relationship between them.. you can't even call it one because Loki’s the only connection through it! 😭

30. FREEBIE QUESTION!!

If you could give Odin a piece of her mind about how he treated her siblings, what would she say? (Was that an excuse to talk about her again? Yes! ☺️)

If she wasn’t bound to thag forest in Sweden somewhere or trying to run her cult, she would have personally hung that old man up in a tree where he should have stayed! She can't speak properly, so.. that says volumes to me! 🤭
