reading the version of TCOTW with the frame plot removed is so weird. everything's normal then suddenly in the final letter Altangi is like, My son!!! (??? You fucked??? When???) I like to imagine everything's just fine and everyones having dinner then Hingpo just bursts through the door looking absolutely traumatised drenched in seawater and dirt and Altangi's like oh!!! my son!!! I forgot I had a family :D what a pleasant surprise
