Mother's day
What’s this? A BEN coming in while Garry took Cecilia out, to completely redecorate her entire home? Ribbons on the walls, just about every mother’s card hanging around from the ceiling, form memes to general store. and attached by a string to every card was a starburst. if she were any taller Cecillia would be running into them, as is they hung just above her head.
on the kitchen counter was a blue tinted glass case, protecting a two layered iced cake. there was no fondant, just icing that seemed to have bits of pineapple mixed in. if cut into, it would be revealed the cake itself is strawberry, and there’s rings of pineapple between the layers. for decoration, there were blueberries along the bottom of each layer, making a ring. from the top of the cake, and down the sides, blueberries were arranged to write out “Mom, Thank You, I Love You”. (each comma represents moving down a layer). All the extra blueberries were in a package nearby.
the starburst and mother’s day cards were everywhere, all over the house. it wouldn’t be until Cecillia reached her Bedroom would they stop hanging, her door being Closed, and starburst taped to the door to spell out the message “livingroom”
Upon returning to the living room she’d find the culprit for this surprise, and a box that he was holding. he must have been staying hidden as she wandered around.
BEN was standing there, holding a shimmering blue wrapped box. in his lap as he is seated on her couch.
- - -* EXHAUSTED from the day's event of spending time with Garry and watching over Ib as they hung out in his home (and her secretly cleaning his house from smoke scent). She enjoyed it but didn’t have any idea what BEN would have in store. She didn’t get a text from him or anything. Worried but figured the young ghost male had been busy with his Hylian adopted father and perhaps Spiritual Mom. Cecilia wasn’t jealous and knew that the two were better fit for parents than her and Howard ever was.
Coming inside, turning lights off with a sigh, hanging her old coat up that she never tossed out (rather found in a dumpster) was the same jacket that BEN had gotten her when things were alright. She cleaned it off a lot to make it seem decent despite its few holes and dried blood.
“H...Huh? What in the world? What is this? Oh, oh my goodness who did this?” Confused on why there was floating candy, memes, and cards (actually attached by string) and struggled to remove the cards to look through them. Cecilia had carried a crate around to collect as much as she could (looking ridiculous at the same time). Heading into the kitchen and was astonished to see cake and such a beautiful blue glass case. Moving to her bedroom wondering what else has been removed or placed. They were mother day cards, of course, but Cecilia wasn’t sure what to feel.
“. . . Could BEN? No, maybe I’m losing my mind again. I’m always am.”
“L...Living room... Okay...” Following its directions and gasped quietly when seeing her son sitting on her couch with a box. “You little snark! Giving your mother a heart attack. Did you set all of this up, BEN? I really like it. It was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you.”
Giving off her motherly love smile to her biological son, she moved over and sat next to him. “Now, how did you get into my house?” Joking, of course.
