🫵 you knew. you knew i'd have a lot to say about weather.

STORMS. ⛈️🌩️⛈️ big, heavy, pouring down rain, preferably in the evening, with some booming thunder, and pretty lightning ✋😩👌 i don't care for wind (it freaks me out) but i can deal with it if it's accompanied by a shit ton of rain. also i don't necessary wish for tornadoes, but tornado season is my favorite sport. and it's about that time of year. 🌪️ the local weathermen already have half-chubs. i can feel it.

partial fog. 😶‍🌫️ but like, nice solid fog. not completely obscuring views of the street, but to where it looks like there are clouds creeping between buildings downtown and around the hills on the rural highways. the render distance is cranked down. maybe even in fall.

snow. THICK ❄️ ass ❄️ snow❄️ heavy. dense fucking flakes. at NIGHT. we got a really good snow (which is rare for us, we usually just get ice) last winter and it was so beautiful. i have a favorite streetlamp that i can see from my bedroom window, on the corner of the next street over, and i just sat there watching the giant flakes falling in front of the amber glow for over an hour. it was so quiet 🥺

the first cool evening breeze in early fall. 🌬️🍃 that's like, sorta specific, but. there's always that one particular evening around late september or early october where there's a chill after the sun goes down. and it doesn't get you at first. only when the breeze hits, and then you're wishing you'd worn a sweatshirt to the state fair or oktoberfest or wherever tf you are. but you're outdoors and there's lights and laughter and the summer is finally dying.

the weird colors of the sky before and after storms. this is separate from my number 1, because it's not about the storms themselves. but the murky looming grays and violets as a wall cloud rolls in 🥰 the blue shadow cast by an anvil cloud on the horizon 🥰 the literal green of the actual sky before a bad storm hits 🥰 the yellow sky just after it passes 🥰 that's some good shit.
