❝     can’t  say  that  to  a  lot  of  people  these  days  ,  huh   ???     ❞     a  chuckle  came  out  of  her  as  she  spoke  ,  one  of  the  few  people  she  could  truly  trust  stood  in  front  of  her  ,  it  was  nice  to  hear  that  he  had  the  same  faith  in  her  as  she  did  him  .   they’ve  survived  many  things  ,  with  and  without  each  other     ...     the  unsung  heroes  that  don’t  demand  praise  .  the  two  sides  of  the  same  coin  .  still  the  brunette  found  herself  raising  her  hand  and  patting  him  on  the  shoulder  .

                                  ❝     have  faith  in  yourself  too  ,  doesn’t  mean  much  if  you  can’t  look  at  yourself  the  same  way  you  look  at  me  .     ❞      a  smile  came  from  her  ,  as  her  head  dipped  ,  as  the  curls  in  her  ponytail  followed  suit  .  leon  had  a  familiar  look  in  his  eyes  ,  the  one  of  pain  and  agony  that  warped  around  the  feeling  of  carrying  on   to  keep  on  fighting  .  if  that  look  was  to  disappear  ,  then  she’d  been  more  concerned  ,  but  he  was  strong  enough  to  carry  on  with  or  without  the  faith  of  her  .

𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐃𝐎𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐒 with joseph and forest. sometimes barry ( when kathy didn’t mind watching the girls ) and richard would even come along on one of their outings. at least for their fishing and shooting range expeditions; the more normal of their vexatious antics. the days where, after a long, hard days work, he could crack a cold one with the boys and talk about music, family, and what they were gonna do next. one of their more risky acts was to fuck with irons by switching his paintings around and blame it on ford. it was worth it just to see irons blow up and stomp out of the room. their shared hatred for the chief of police brought them all a petty sense of joy.

“ Tell me how to make it better. ”

   she hugs her knees, biting back sobs, biting back emotions that she doesn’t want leon knowing she’s feeling. phone in her hands, his phone call on speaker, leaning against the bottom cabinet under her sink. she contemplates just what to say that won’t immediately just break her down.      his words, “tell me how to make it better”, they shatter her and there’s a small whimper she makes, squeezing her eyes shut as she shakes her head. “i don’t know how,” she finally responds and just openly cries to him, the first time she’s done so since everything they’ve been through.      a sniffle as she runs a hand through her hair, the words refuse to escape her soul. she isn’t sure what leon must be feeling, maybe he finds her pathetic for breaking down? “everything just hurts and is numb at the same time and i don’t know how to fix it!”

She did understand. It was difficult sometimes, and the agent knew it too well. Sherry’d never tell Leon - she was afraid of what he’d say - but she was no saint herself.

Really, refusing sleep wasn’t a vice. Sherry had always seen it as a mechanism - a way to ward off the things that haunted her at night, sounds and images she could never seem to erase from her memory, no matter how much coffee she drank, or sessions she attended.

It had started in Simmons’ home, in the nights she’d spent alone, the terrified child inside of her begging for her to hide. To run, and to hope that someone else would come to help her. It had become apparent very quickly that no one was going to help her, that nobody could. It was up to her to help herself - although, that part she had only realized in more recent years.

But that wasn’t Leon’s problem. She’d figure that out on her own time. Right now, he was the one who needed help. He had been through so many things, and done so much for her - the least that Sherry could do was try.

A hand was outstretched, and rested over Leon’s in a comforting gesture.

 “Don’t be sorry,” her expression tensed, blue eyes brimming with concern, “I... I get it. Sometimes it feels like there’s no way out, like there’s nothing you can do.”

Her gaze flickered downwards, and she squeezed his hand.

 “Even if you don’t want to talk about it, just- Just know that I’m here. I will be for as long as I can be. And you’ve got other people, too! People who understand. You’re not alone, even if it feels like you are. I promise.”

Oh god, mood! I've been fighting with mine for weeks. I have the hardware but I need the time to install it. Woooorst.

I’m just absolutely clueless with technology myself, honestly. If I had any idea how I could fix this myself I’d probably come up with some kind of redneck fix that’d last me another year but I’ve got absolutely nothing.

I’m just plagued with bad luck when it comes to tech in general I guess. This is an Alienware - a gaming computer - and it can’t even properly run Minecraft. I might as well be running Windows 98. lmao
