The Sunflower Galaxy, M63 // wolfman_55
Messier 63 - the Sunflower Galaxy
A spiral galaxy in Canis Venatici with a distinctive dark dust lane on its near face and cloaked in thick, obscuring dust on its far side.
The two shots above show my photo before (left) and after adding luminance data (monochrome exposures to capture fine detail and contrast that can be layered on top of a color image).
Shot with a 200mm Ritchey-Chretien at its native 1600mm FL. 90m each of RGB, 5h or so of luminance.
A US Army M36 Jackson tank from the 703rd Tank Destroyer Battalion, 82nd Airborne near Werbomont, Belgium. 20th December, 1944
