Maddox was fresh off the plane with a boy clinging to his arm. It was so good to be back in LA. He fixed his leather jacket and pulled his raybands from the top of his head to rest over his eyes. "Maddie- can we stop for some Starbucks before we leave? I need a drink after being on the plane so long." Noah asked him sweetly, pressing a kiss to his cheek. He hummed as he shouldered his adidas dufflebag. He was beginning to think that Noah was catching feelings for him. The sex was great- amazing even, but he didn't want a relationship and he hoped that the other was just being affectionate because he wanted to use him for his money. He was okay with spending his money on others- he'd rather that then to have them fall for him. All he wanted was a good time. "Yeah sure babes. I'll grab us a seat and you can order us something yeah?" He shook the other lightly from his arm and reached for his back pocket, pulling out his wallet and taking one of his credit cards out, passing it over to the other.

Noah smiled, pressing a quick kiss to Maddox's mouth. "Okay." He then took his lax hand and tugged him over to the little Starbucks shop that the airport had on sight. Maddox let the other drag him to the doors with a sigh. As he was being pulled he wondered when he would have to eventually send Noah back to London. "I'll see you soon." Maddox murmured, nipping at Noah's ear and giving his bum a cheeky squeeze before making his way over to a free table.

It was then that he saw him. He smirked, dragging a chair over to the others table. "Landon, long time no see eh?"

Maddox was sitting in the back of an Uber, typing at his phone as he was being transported to the bar. It had come at a surprise that Landon had texted him to begin with given their past. Based upon the last time he’s seen the boy, Landon didn’t seem too happy to see his face. It didn’t hurt his feelings much, he was used to having his lovers glare at him and spit spiteful words after the relationship had gone sour. He set his phone down on his lap and blew air from between his lips as he thought about what he was doing. 

Mixing Landon and alcohol surely wouldn’t be a good idea, but here he was, going to do it anyway. Something was bound to happen, they had history together and Maddox would never have been with him to start with if he wasn’t at least attracted to the man. 

Once he arrived, he paid off the Uber driver and stepped out onto the sidewalk, music reaching his ears through the open doors of he bar. “Thanks.” He murmured to the driver before he took off. He pocketed his phone and made his way into the bar, his eyes scanning the room for Landon. He found him at a table and started over, maneuvering his way through a throng of people laughing belligerently.

Marley had always been quite lucky, what with her parents being so financially stable, and her childhood being near perfection, and now her having landed a near enough dream job that came with numerous perks; What was there to be ungrateful for? Whilst, to some degree, the girl was grateful for this particular job perk, there was no way she could deny how much she wished it was anything else. It had been her first shift of a new week of work when her boss had handed her a voucher, "'Cause you've been working so hard, I thought you might deserve a treat." To the girl's dismay, the voucher was a months free gym membership, personal trainer included; Essentially, her worst nightmare. The way her boss looked when they had said those words though, made Sookyung certain that she couldn't let them down. Her expression faltered only slightly before accepting the voucher with a faux tone of joy in her voice, "Thank you so much! I'll let you know how it goes." She'd tried putting off booking any of the sessions for as long as she possibly could. But her boss made sure to check up on her, probably so that the voucher didn't go to waste. It was early morning now, and the session was scheduled to happen ten minutes later - that was if she plucked up the courage to step into the building. She'd only been stood there for a short while, but several incredibly healthy, and fit looking people had strolled in and out of the building, confidence evident in each step they took; These are the type sof people that should have this voucher, not her, she thought. It wasn't as if the girl wasn't in shape, her job recquired her to be as such, she just had never fancied the idea of going to a gym, especially not for some health and fitness guru to watch over her and judge her every move, it simply was not for her. Needless to say, she walked in, mostly because it was cold outside and people had started giving her funny looks by this point. The check in was a relatively painless process, but she still felt very uncomfortable and out of place. She had been told that her personal trainer for today was 'No Ha Eun' (at least, that's what she heard, she could have been wrong) and that "She'll be with you shortly."

It had only been an hour or so into this 'beach day out' and Sookyung was already thinking of ways to go home. At times like this, she wished even more for a pet or a significant other or something to be waiting for her back at home that she absolutely had to attend to. Let's be clear, it's not that she doesn't like beaches, she quite likes them in fact, but when you're exhausted, and a tiny bit hungover, the beach isn't exactly the best place to be; not in Marley's books at least.

Without much of a battle, she managed to convince her friends to let her go get a coffee, on the condition that she definitely would return. Her headache kept getting worse, and she mentally cursed herself for having had so much wine last night. 'Not to worry,' she thought, 'when I get this coffee, I'll be right as rain.' Of course, she knew that this would not be the case, but at least it would help (hopefully). After paying a rather extortinate amount of money for such a small beverage, Marley reluctantly made her way back to the group, making sure to daudle as much as she possibly could, continuing to think up excuses to go back home. She pulled out her phone, about to text one of her friends waiting for her that she was going back, feeling far too ill to return - she knew if she told them face to face, they'd only guilt her into staying. Almost half way through her text, her face dropped as she felt someone's body slam into hers, her phone falling to the floor, and her coffee spilling everywhere. For a moment, she just stood there in shock, staring at the face down phone that had just been in her hand, silently praying it wasn't broken.

It was Marley's first day off in quite some time, not that she really minded, her job was a dream come true; but it could be stressful at times there was no denying that, so she felt like she definitely needed this one. Whilst she had debated staying at home all day, lazing around and watching movies, or perhaps doing chores around the house, she decided that she should use this time more wisely; after all, she'd only feel like she wasted precious time if she hadn't chosen to go out. Marley had been busy for most of her waking time the past few weeks, meanwhile, her friends had been texting her regularly, making sure she was okay, and also boasting quite a bit about how they were spending their time. One of the places her friends had mentioned quite a bit was the Samhan restaurant in Yongdeok. Two quick things to know about Sookyung, she loves shopping, and she loves good food, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to get both in at once. Initially, the plan had been to shop for a while, and then eat, with the chance of a little more shopping just for good measure. But foolishly, Marley had not eaten a very large breakfast that day, and so after going in only three stores, she decided it would be best to eat now rather than wait any longer; Besides, she was curious to see whether the food served was as good as her friends swore it was. It really had not been a long walk from where she was to the restaurant, but for some reason the girl found herself exhausted, most likely due to the hunger. The first thing she noticed was how welcoming the place looked, it was truly stunning, definitely an 'instagrammable' location. But the second, and to her, the more important thing to notice, was the woman stood outside, appearing to be working. "Oh my god" she said, perhaps too loudly. Although Marley had been alive twenty-six years, she had never met anybody with even the slightest bit of fame to their name, although she supposed in this day and age a couple thousand social media followers make you famous; Nonetheless, Marley was starstruck. "Song Minah?" she said, the awe she felt very evident in her voice.

When Moonbyul's current batch of customers had been attended to and were no longer watching her every move while they waited impatiently for their drinks, the bartender sneaked a glance at her watch. The time reflected back to her, telling her that in just a few minutes the nightclub was going to reach its busiest hour. It was a Friday night and the evening was just beginning - primetime for Chuncheon residents to go out drinking. It was always hectic on days like this, though Moonbyul didn't necessarily mind. As long as she stayed focused on her job and didn't fall behind with her orders, it usually wasn't so bad. In fact, she preferred times like this because people were more likely to have actual friends to talk to so Moonbyul didn't have to awkwardly play the part of dutiful listener to a handful of lonely drunks.

After checking the time, Moonbyul went right back to serving the folks around her. Every once in a while, her gaze wandered to the club's entrance as large groups of people continued to pour in, just as expected. The bouncers looked overwhelmed; they were new hires and hadn't yet become accustomed to checking over so many customers at a time. Moonbyul made a mental note to stay alert tonight, watching out for any creeps or bullies who may have slipped in unnoticed among the crowd of other patrons.

Before long, however, it became impossible to keep a watchful eye on everyone in the club. Moonbyul had her hands full with the various customers sitting at the bar as they slowly became more and more drunk, and far less likely to speak to her politely. They were demanding her attention left and right, hardly giving her room to breathe between drink orders. Despite this, she kept a smile on her face and did her best to exude a calm confidence, not wanting to reveal that she was starting to get pretty stressed trying to keep up with everything.

Eventually, she became aware of a young brunette sitting at the end of the bar, waiting there with no drink in hand. That was no good. Moonbyul rushed over and put on her fake so-happy-to-serve-you smile, hoping she hadn't been waiting too long. As she got close enough to see the woman's face, a faint flicker of recognition sparked somewhere in the back of her mind. Since she didn't really have the luxury of time to stand there and ponder where she knew the girl from, or even enough time to start up a conversation with her, Moonbyul ignored it and welcomed the customer with a standard greeting.

"Hey, sorry to have kept you waiting, ma'am. What can I get for you tonight?"

Moonbyul could hear the professor's voice continuing to drone on in the front of the classroom, attempting to hold his pupils' attention until the very last second. She didn't know why he bothered - Nearly all of the students (including herself) had lost interest about ten minutes ago and were now anxiously watching the clock as though that would make it move any faster. While the last few minutes were ticking by, Moonbyul slid her materials into her bag and threw the strap over her shoulder, knee bouncing impatiently. As soon as the hand reached twelve she jumped up and headed for the door, eager for a break after a long morning of back-to-back classes.

The rumbling in her stomach was telling her that she needed to grab some lunch before anything else, so Moonbyul aimed for the university cafe and made her way to the various food stations, picking up a tray as she went. She slowly went around all the stations, taking a different dish from each one. A bit of soup here, a bowl of rice there.. Soon enough, her tray was loaded. She was about to head to the register when the dessert table caught her eye. Well, just one more thing can't hurt.... She easily convinced herself, though her feet had already carried her over to the array of sweets before she could even finish her thought.

Brow furrowed in concentration, she carefully examined the variety of pastries for a solid minute, taking this decision very seriously. There seemed to be more options laid out than usual, which only made it a more difficult choice. Her gaze eventually landed on a plate in the back, with a lone cinnamon roll sitting directly in the middle. It looked incredible, the icing dripping enticingly down its doughy sides. Without giving it a second thought, Moonbyul reached for the chosen dessert, only to end up touching skin instead.

She immediately pulled her hand back, lifting her head up to meet the eyes of the girl beside her. She must have been too busy weighing her options to notice the company but she certainly saw her now, the two of them standing in mirrored positions with hands hovered awkwardly over the only cinnamon roll. "Oh, uh, I apologize. We must have both went for it at the same time." Moonbyul gave a small chuckle before gesturing at the food. "Um, go ahead and take it. I'll just choose something else."

Lies and Stars || Evan & Alecto

From her childhood Alecto loved heights. Her legs were strong, and her arms lean, perfect to hoist her small body up into trees, and go higher and higher, until the branches would bend beneath her foot, and if she were to put her weight on just the next one she would surely be sent tumbling down towards the grass or snow beneath. Amycus didn't care to climb like she did, and her father had no taste for high places. She wasn't meant to do things such as this, but despite the punishments she received for her scrapped knees and bloody palms, but she simply didn't care. 

Alecto wouldn't have ever related these childhood habits might have to do with how she so often went up to the Astronomy Tower. She had better hiding places, and each of them were shared with different people, different dark twisted habits, but she liked the tower best, or second best to the places she shared with Amycus depending on the day.

The witch stood by the railing, leaning in it a bit with her eyes closed letting the wind soak into her, a chill finding it's way deeper into her, spreading slowly but she didn't mind so much. A chill wouldn't kill her, and she didn't care to go in. She was content enough here, alone.
