Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati 💕
The Cosmic Fire Dance
A/N: Idk I had a moment where this poem danced (hehehe) into my head and then wouldn’t leave. It’s crossposted to archive: HERE
---
Arctic cold.
Frozen body, frozen breath
Trapped in a tundra, I live.
Only a river moves,
Nay my thoughts
Pitch black and ugly,
No respite from the tar, the dirt that flows through.
Depression, anxiety, helplessness at the root lies fear
Fear fear fear flowing over and over and over
No respite, no way to breathe.
I stay frozen forever in time, lost to the world.
And then a step.
A tinkle, a jingle, a chime.
Over and over and over.
A peal of bells, the sound loud and jarring
Breaking the ice, the time, the flow.
Beside me, above me, around me
Forcing air through my lungs
Warm air through my lungs.
Chuckles and laughter,
the steps and bells moving faster and faster
Breezes, warm as the summer air
Swathing through the tundra
Bringing life.
A man, Nay, a God. The God.
Laughs, sways, dances
A spark at his stamp
Taka dheemi
Sparks and flames growing and growing
My face splits, a reluctant smile
breathing and breathing
Taka dheemi dhit dhit
The river flows cleaner
Black to gray to white
Taka dheemi dhit dhit tai
My thoughts clear,
His steps speed faster and faster
Flames spreading giving and giving,
Taka dheemi
My eyes cannot look away
His smile soft
My heart bliss
Taka dheemi dhit dhit
My knees drop to the floor, head touching the grass
My soul sings, an image seared in my eyes
Taka dheemi dhit dhit tai
I bow to the Nataraja, lord of cosmic dance,
I bow to the Bholenath, saviour of life,
I bow to the Great Mahadeva, God of Gods.

A/N: I had other things I wanted to add to this and had another idea but it just kept getting longer and longer so I gave up. I have posted said idea below:
I’ve been going through a thing and like I was doing prarthana and I had a vision of shiva and a ring of pulsating fire around his feet, and throwing my mental demons into that fire
The scene that played out was that his fire sucked the bad thoughts out and cleared them but he kept going and going and I felt my body begin to burn away because I was so entranced and then from behind him, another set of softer steps ran up, and literally flew out from behind him when he spun and it was Shiva and Parvati dancing together, not even giving me heed
and she’s smiling and around her is water, and water and fire melded together, one taking life and one giving life, back and forth until I flung myself down head to the floor unable to watch because there was too much power and then when I look up, they’ve disappeared but all that’s seared in my head was a soft gentle smile and wind flowing around me like a mother’s caress on the cheek, and a father’s pat on the back
Though that Shiva was going to go many ways: like at one point, I had him literally coming up and patting the reader (me) on the back and being like: you’re looking at the cold all wrong, I live here, this is my home and there is so much peace and quiet, the river is dark, but that's because it holds knowledge and silt that carries life

Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati 💕
The origin of Ardhanarishvara retold by me because I can't find the story I originally read and I really liked it.
Lord Shiva had many devotees but there was one in particular that declared Shiva to be the supreme truth and refused to worship anyone else. When this devotee would worship Shiva, he would circle Lord Shiva three times in prayer. Each day Ma Parvati, Shiva's consort, would be ignored by the devotee even though she was fully enlightened and Shiva's equal.
Ma Parvati grew angry by the disrespect from the stubborn devotee and demanded Shiva correct him. Shiva, amused by the situation decided to play a game. When the devotee came to worship and circle Shiva, Lord Shiva pulled Ma Parvati close so there was no space between them. The devotee in dismay transformed into a rat and circled Shiva's right leg to avoid giving respect to Ma Parvati.
This enraged Ma Parvati even more so the next day when the devotee came, Lord Shiva pulled Ma Parvati into his lap so they could not be separated. The devotee cried in dismay then transformed into a bird and circled Shiva's head.
On the third day Lord Shiva had reached the end of this game and when the devotee came Shiva merged with Ma Parvati to become Ardhanarishvara, the Lord who is half woman. Now the devotee could not separate the two and realizing they were in fact the same he apologized profusely and worshiped them both.
Life and creation must have both Shiva and Shakti to exist!
