Fit For A Queen
As I strolled through my local Tesco's Extra earlier this week, I couldn't help but notice the red white and blue colours which had cunningly creeped into my basket.
In my mind, it doesn't take a genius to plonk a Union Jack over some dated packaging, however, I must say I was pretty impressed by the imagination of some brands who have used the Jubilee celebrations to reinvent their product.
KingsMill for example, I walked through Westfield two weeks ago and came face-to-face with a giant poster of The Queen having cream tea with the newly invented 'QueensMill' . Genius idea. This really captured the imagination of the country and certainly made me think twice about the brand name. Job Done.
Marmite was another brand to champion this weekends festivities with it's special jubilee edition of 'Ma'Mite'. Marmite, the Madonna of the store-cupboard essentials, has branched out into the world of chocolate, cashew nuts, crisps and even flavoured toothpaste. The reinvention of this brand is unstoppable.
