Puerta [Swap card]
My swap card with Puerta :3
In general, I spent a very long time going over different versions of the compositions for the Puerta, and did not come to anything more interesting than to finalize the old sketch lol. And even though I don't like the result too much, it turned out to be fun. I hope it will look good on the swap card itself!
This card will be part of the "Author's Races x Species" swap deck, because the Puerta is the ma'ara! I was very glad to take part, it was wildly fun to draw my critters and watch other people draw theirs! 🐍

Since Maara is my main and best known character, I am going to answer these for her.
General Combat 1. How good are they in combat? Can they handle themselves in most fights? Is there anything that hinders them or acts as an
11. Are there weapons they can't use to save their life?
Maara is frankly kind of a terrible shot and favors close quarters when possible. However, being a former Legion soldier she has been trained in most common types of weapons one could expect to come across and can use them with at least passable proficiency.
18. Can they handle themselves in a fight without using weapons?
Absolutely. Maara is fairly good at hand to hand combat, which is once again primarily owed to her Legion training. On top of that, when you're as big as she is, just smacking someone can be deadly.
