Ammu, Lehmä — Muu, Cow, Tuijotuskilpailu — Staring Contest
I definitely like working outside the most. You often cannot predict the course of the day, even if you want to concretize your thoughts in a certain format. I set out to film the new demolition animation in the field with the idea that the photos would have as much daily rotation as possible. I definitely wanted to film the piece in one day so that the conditions would remain the same as possible and also to challenge myself to a proper battle with the piano.
I struggle with the piano non-stop for about 12 hours and after that I laid on the floor for a couple of days.
Everything imaginable was recorded in the photos, but the most beautiful frame was perhaps this one a( very clear photo of) national bird of Finland, the whooper swan. The day started in the dark, sometimes the sun shine through the clouds and the day ended with a snowfall. During filming, I also followed the cranes migration and feeding.
What is it like to be part of this landscape? My works often talk about a person's place in a great cycle. We leave huge traces of the past and imagine that the future is open. An open future would mean a world without the weight of yesterday. You can jump into tomorrow mentally clean, but the products you order from Temu will be part of the landscape permanently. At least until the last atom on Earth is free.
Äiti junassa: Onko hyvät maisemat?
Pieni, noin neljävuotias lapsi: Ei.
Äiti: Ai ei oo?
Lapsi: *katsoo ränsistyvää hökkeliä* Ei. Kuka vois asuu täällä? Miks me ees tultiin tänne?
Birches
Hyvää vappua kaikille!
Happy First of May everyone!
