we had a Spa Episode(tm) in the avernus campaign so i drew a clean horse girl with her hair down. also, played around with halftones!

my monday dnd group realized recently that we’ve had people make centaur characters with ptsd on three separate occasions. so i drew them together!

under the cut i have brief summaries of their backstories since they delve into some pretty awful things (warning for death, war, cults, and alcoholism).

from left to right:

mabel - my paladin from our descent into avernus campaign. she raised horses for a living. she was tormented by her past as an enforcer for an ecofascist branch of her religion. she was exiled from her community when her fervor lead her to kill her own sister (killing other races was encouraged but murdering your fellow centaur was still bad).

merriweather - @inkandpain‘s cleric from our descent into avernus campaign. his parents sold him to an acting troupe while he was young. he was raised to be a child star by the troupe’s abusive leader. as an adult he ran away and turned to alcohol. he found religion after almost dying in the street in a drunken stupor.

houseki - jared’s druid from our current campaign in a japanese setting. (jared used to go by @dissimo on here but he hasn’t used tumblr in a long time.) we are still in the early stages of our game, but we do know that houseki used to be a soldier in a daimyo’s army and that he abandoned that to go live in the woods.

my SO started a descent into avernus campaign and also threw acquisitions incorporated into the mix so i couldn’t not draw our party members in kris straub’s ac-inc style!

bottom: @inkandpain‘s character, merriweather, a centaur cleric of lathander.

hopefully will get to drawing our other 3 party members in the future!
