Review shiny mabosstif and maschiff?
Maschiff: Maschiff's shiny is pretty good. In all honesty I never quite understood why the original palette was ketchup and mustard colors, so this muted purple fits its dark-typing a lot more and is just nicer on the eyes in general. Bonus points for simplifying the palette from three colors to two.
My only issue with it is that I don't get why the nose is still orange. I guess it's to tie into Mabostiff, but Mabostiff's eyes and nose were originally colored so they stood out against its dull brown coat. With Maschiff, the nose was originally the same color as its fur, so it didn't stand out at all, making the emphasis odd. Just making it black would've felt a lot better. Also, the dark purple areas could've been a smidge darker to match Mabostiff more.
Mabostiff: While Mabostiff's shiny doesn't stand out as much from the original as Maschiff's due to it just being brown originally, the purple coloration still makes sense—and I'll give this line bonus points for being more consistent than the non-shiny line, which is a rarity.
I do think Mabostiff's shiny is the better of the two, as it has higher contrast and the gray mane becoming white is an additional nice touch. The nose and eye color doesn't bother me as much here either for the reasons I described above—they stand out on the non-shiny version as well.
Overall: The shiny Maschiff line is not only more consistent than the original line, but the choices in color make more sense and (in Mabostiff's case) add some much-needed vibrancy to an otherwise drab design. In all honesty, I prefer both of these over their original palettes and kind of wish the shiny and non-shiny were swapped.
More pokemon stickers!
Ok, so my arcanine, Aisha, did a thing while I was on vacation while my friend was Pokémon-sitting for me (region restriction are the worst DX) and guess what I came back to? ...If you guessed a clutch of six eggs then bully for you, I just don't know what a what to expect since my friend owns a male mabosstiff named Vito, or the neighbor's boltund, Maximus de Pantaloons Cortez, first of his name (yes, his owner's wife tells everyone that despite him calling him Maxi).... How do I check and how do I prepare?
If you want to check, take them to the pokemon center. They do free DNA tests and can determine what the eggs are crossed with.
If you want to be prepared, there's specific guides on various growlithe crossbreeds (since people LOVE their designer dog breeds) and on how to care for them. Still, i can give you a rundown here.
Mabostiff Crossed: Expect the little growlithe to be more feisty and energetic. Sharper teeth, so their teething phase is going to be worse.
Boltund Crossed: More energetic than the standard breed and highly playful. Yamper leave little electric trails when they run while yamper-crossed Growlithe will leave little spark trails. Cut your grass less you want them to accidently cause a fire.

Can you tell I like dogs and I like pokemon?
Finished the main plot of Pokemon Violet a few days ago, so I had to draw some of my favourite characters (though I’m sure I will draw more of them in the future).
simply had to draw Arven and Mabostiff print available here
