Mac Preview PDF scaling issue
I was having trouble getting Mac Preview to auto-scale some large signage I've been creating to the screen. Even with "Auto-Scale" & other options selected/deselected, it just wouldn't work. It would scale to width, but not height!
The culprit: "View>PDF Display>Single Page Continuous" was selected. I changed it to "Single Page" and my preferred view of just the one page & a numbered list toolbar to the right appeared. Because Continuous was selected, it scaled the PDFs to the width of my screen and ignored the height. And these were very, very tall PDFs and not that wide. It took a minimum of 4 clicks to zoom out for each PDF opened, which was very tiresome.
Just another one of those things I, for some reason, couldn't find on Google!
