Яed cideR - 23.exe, an upbeat electropop vocaloid song that i listen to a lot during summer

1st color - パンドリストP, my favourite original song featuring Yokune Ruko. their voice sounds so pretty in this one <3

3AM - Dopamine has a really sick guitar solo

Soundtracks:

my favourites are the soundtracks from Yakuza 0, Violet Evergarden, I Saw the TV Glow, and Arcane season 2

i also started getting into jujutsu kaisen because i found out that Eve made the opening theme song, lol

Languages:

probably the majority of music i listen to is in English, but i do listen to lots of songs in Japanese, French, and Thai (and some Korean as well)

i only speak English and French, but i love listening to music in languages i haven't learned. it really lets my brain focus on appreciating the melody and style of the vocals rather than the lyrics themselves

Classical music:

my favourite composer of all time is Erik Satie. i listen to his pieces a lot while studying, especially the Gnossiennes

as a cellist i also have to say that Fauré's Sicilienne is fun both to listen to and to play

Live music:

i love going to shows! i've seen MCR, Hozier, and Origami Angel in the past few years and really enjoyed all of those. don't currently have any upcoming concerts planned, but i'd really like to see Dopamine live one day

V: Vide Noir - Lord Huron, easily in my top 10 albums. don't remember why this one in particular first caught my eye but i've been in love with it since

(bonus - music video): Quiet Room - Yoh Kamiyama has one of my favourite music videos ever, it's got such a fitting narrative and art style

W: The World Within Our Bedrooms - Drug Store Romeos. i mentioned them earlier in week 1 and now i'm highlighting my fav album of theirs :]

(bonus - artist discovered from a show): Forests. they were the opening act for Origami Angel and i liked them a lot, i actually have a tshirt of theirs

X: XLOV, my favourite kpop band! their concept is fun and i think it's really cool that they embrace queer culture

Y: Yellow Leaf - Jeff Satur. i love jeff satur's voice and it blends so well with this beautiful song

(bonus - starting with 'you'): You Are Not Alone - Anri. this also counts for the "comforting" bonus prompt

Z: Zero - The Smashing Pumpkins. smashing pumpkins my beloved, the guitar in this song is so good

O: Origami Angel. i've been trying not to repeat artists and i already put one of their songs in week 1, but i'll cheat a little bit because they're my favourite band of all time.

(bonus - opposites): Weekender Girl - kz(livetune) vs. I Don't Wanna Do Anything Anymore, I'm Scared - Shrimp. very contrasting genres, tempos, lyrics, and overall vibes. love them both though

P: Polyphia. amazing math rock. i also love tim's style but that's not the point lol

Q: quiz - KAF. super relaxing (have used it to fall asleep a lot) and the syncopation just scratches my brain

R: Redcar les adorable étoiles, my favourite Christine and the Queens album. Redcar is a really cool guy and he makes great french pop

S: Sol Procter, an artist i discovered recently (they're nonbinary which is awesome)! their debut single Disease is on several of my playlists already.

T: Tom Rasmussen, a very cool artist. found out about their music via a drag show :]

U: Unknown (Till the End) - AKUGETSU. one of the best alien stage songs imo (i'm not biased towards till, totally)

H: Hope Sound - tilt-six, one of my favourite vocaloid albums of all time (and one of the first i listened to, so it's got nostalgia)

I: Ichika Nito, a huge inspiration! i remember seeing his youtube videos as a young guitarist and being absolutely amazed

(bonus - instruments): have been playing guitar for 11 years and cello for 7 though i mostly stopped playing cello due to uni :(

J: Just Like Heaven - The Cure. a classic!

K: Kingo Hamada. i'm a sucker for some good citypop and his Midnight Cruisin' album is one of the best in the genre imo

L: Life On the Edge of You - Lontalius, a slightly melancholy and very gay love song

(bonus - non-English love song): i thought of many options here but i'll go with La vie en rose - Édith Piaf. means a lot to me and my bf <3

M: Mista Strange, a rapper i've discovered recently. really enjoying his music, especially the album The Peaches Pack

N: NOEASY - Stray Kids has so many good songs and helped me get more into kpop

(bonus - fav genre): my music taste is pretty all-over-the-place. but one of the commonalities i've noticed between lots of the genres i really like (midwest emo, math rock, pop punk, etc.) is cool melodic guitar riffs! so... any genre with that sort of vibe :]
