Friday Night Film Club || Jeff, Jas & Artie
Jeff: If Jeff were being completely honest with himself, this wasn’t just an ordinary movie night for them, at least not for him. He knew he’d be moving out soon and that days like this where the three of them would be able to get together and hang out were going to become hard to come by if they happened at all between all their busy schedules. But before he made to leave and tackle that great big adventure that was the rest of his life, he wanted to have one last chill night in with his friends here in LA. The hustle and bustle of his job was great and he truly loved it, but sometimes he just really needed to kick it at home with a movie and junk food. With everything that had been going on, he kind of needed this now more than ever. Walking out of the kitchen he carried with him a plethora of popcorn, chip, candy, pop and various other items that he was arranging on his coffee table in front of the television. As he made his way through the living room the place felt distinctly emptier to him. He’d started packing up the things he would be taking with him to New York and the walls were starting to look a little bare. Though, those boxes were stuffed away and out of sight in his bedroom, not to upset his friends. He knew that Jas wasn’t a fan of the move, even if she claimed she was okay, and Artie didn’t even know yet. He didn’t want to tell his friend and take away from all the hype and excitement of the Oscars, but now that the event had passed he supposed he’d have to tell his friend sooner rather than later. Sighing to himself he sat back on his couch and looked over everything. It looked like all things were in place, TV on, snacks appetizing, conscience slightly guilty, now it was just a matter of waiting for his friends to arrive.
