All this Epstein files story made me think about how all the media we consume VERY OFTEN idealises rich people and their lifestyle, even many aesthetics are part of it :/ and how it grooms us subconsciously to make us like them, envy them, make us want to be with them.... because of this, our need for peaceful lifestyle is perverted and transformed into wanting to be rich and popular or to admire it at least more than we would naturally

Examples that I think of rn:

Batman

Dishonored (especially the 1 and second games)

Dark academy(in a way)

Old money(especially)

Etc.... or even some things are transformed so that it comes around from poorer to rich people

Like the macbling aesthetic, nowadays everyone thinks about paris Hilton and Britney spears when mentioned (however she's probably also a victim in some way) when at first it was an aesthetic popular in the communities of people of color (especially American poc)

And to escape the idealisation of poc they transformed it to benefit them (and we helped them)
