there's a hole in the wall for if you wanna put in an air conditioner, had a bit of plywood just jammed in to cover it up. big storm, wind's blown the plywood in twice already. didn't want that hitting us, so i took down the plywood. tried to duct tape a garbage bag over the hole but this duct tape has shit adhesive. fuck it, superglued the garbage bag in place.
Know how to keep that orange powder off your fingers? Use the 5th needle (so you don't get it on your yarn) to spear Cheetos puffs. #knittingbuddy #macguyvering
Ahahaha get out
So CoastingOnHappy told me how to work off the strainer on my ingenuiTEA (thank you! I think it was you? My messaging is stupid in that once I write the response I lose the message in my inbox, so...) and I was able to do it, but like a goddamn genius I dislodged the little rubber ring on the inside part of the pot that you can't remove. I figured, well, I guess I can buy a new one if I have to, so let's see if I can fix it. I mean, it can't get any worse than having to buy a new one, right?
First I cleaned out that part I was concerned about (yay) and then I set about trying to figure out how to pop the ring back in place. Know what works? Crochet hooks. That's right. I used one to hook part of the ring in place, anchored it with the hook, and then used a second to pull the other side down until it sealed. Boom! Just like new.
