What you are hearing is "Where's The Wattsman?" - A mash-up of "Where's the Walrus?" by the Alan Parsons Project, and the track "Bad Guys" from the Dirty Pair: Project EDEN soundtrack...which sampled said Alan Parsons track.
Awhile back, I did a pilot for a Dirty Pair audiobook series. Titled Dirty Pair VOX, it would have adapted the first story, "The Great Adventure of the Dirty Pair" with a mixture between "speaking book" and full cast audio. We got a lot of critical praise but to avoid all sorts of legal shenanigans for something like this, I was advised to get permission from the original author, Haruka Takachiho. After much tracking down, I had an e-mail translated into Japanese by a friend and sent along.
And then a week after I sent the e-mail, the 3/11 Tsunami happened.
Because I didn't want to be That Guy who asks if they can use the grill in the wake of a tragedy, I never did a follow-up e-mail. As a result of this breakdown, the project unfortunately was shelved. But before the decision finally came down, scripts, audio, and concept art for the first two episodes were produced--all of which will be released in the fullness of time. (At this point, I'm even considering an original full cast audio just to get around things if I ever have the time. The stuff we came up with was just that good!) In the meantime, here's the "Episode Size" cut of the DPVox main theme, produced by yours truly. I still love how this turned out and at the very least, this needs to see the light of day. Enjoy!
