i am so nervous about this year's fundraiser but also so excited i can't stand it!!! Tiptree means so much to me as a trans/queer person, and being able to also bring attention to Isabel Fall at the same time while ALSO being able to do something concrete for my community? the dream.
we're already a third of the way to our fundraising goal just from folks who can't attend in person that donated to get a recording of the play. i am so beyond proud of our cast and their hard work. i really hope we get a good meatspace turn out, because they deserve to hear that applause.
anyway enough being vulnerable on main!! back to shitposting about owls
nothing like opening a casting call for an event in tennessee, specifically to benefit the trans community of tennessee, and getting messages from people out of state who aren't willing to travel for a performance asking if they can audition. god help me.
the lead in my play, @soundbunny, told me today that she quotes her character's dialogue whenever someone asks a tonedeaf disability question. this is my proudest achievement as a writer.

Everytime @bitchnamedbunny rehearses Burke's death scene she makes me tear up, and that's WITH the audio delays and occasional giggles as we try and time it with remote rehearsal.
