one of the things it said in mac’s description at the shelter was that he loves licking facial hair so i harbor hopes and dreams… actually hold on i want to transcribe this with full accuracy because it’s one of my favorite pieces of text ever

“this is mac the cat he is like a mac truck but sweet as chocolate cake never been around dogs or kids but has been around other cats my house mate was named lily she is here too I’m a shy guy at first but once you let me come to you and smell ya face I’m you buddy i like to smell faces and if you have a beard I will chew on it and lick it ask the SPCA staff who took me in he let me eat his beard as we got to know each other I’m litter box trained I like cat nip I don’t care too much for those laser lights things I don’t care about them so if you wanna make me your furever pet come pick me up”

mac watch: last night i was dozing in and out of nightmares the whole time, and he evidently wanted to assist with the situation because he left his typical sleeping spot. of course the way he chose to help was not to snuggle up with me or lie comfortingly on my chest, but to wedge his entire body into the few inches that exist between my face and my lamp when i’m lying on my side, so that in the moments when my eyes were open, my entire field of view and most of my breathing space was taken up by a slab of warm grey fur, like i was wearing a hairy eye mask heating pad combo in 90+ degree weather. it really did add something to the whole situation and i value his contributions

he can finally look out the window at our new place and he falls asleep doing it slugstyle on a + v’s bed… my old man <3

mac is getting some updates in his new operating environment. he is not a very vocal guy at all (just makes a small beeping noise when jumping onto or off of high surfaces) but now he announces himself when entering an occupied room by meowing! and he explores everywhere! a summarized this as “he’s acting like a kitty cat” due to his general lack of catlike features lol

selling the pets on ebay for 4 easy payments if anyone wants to make an offer 🙏 i’ve been sick all week so mac is freaking out and stress-puking and he and mia have been fighting to the point where fur was literally flying last night. i’m sorry babe and i promise that if i die there are 3 more people who will take care of you before you have to eat her for survival
