Not sure how we ended up on Mack$likk's soundcloud but that was well inspired. As we couldn't find a single information about the man we decided to write to him and talk a bit about his tracks and well, you know, life.
We first asked him the most simple question we could find, who is he ? Im a young nigga making music In my spare time to stay outta trouble and when Im bored. Im from Houston but moved to Prairie view so I wont grow up in a fucked up environment like my older cousin and be shot or in jail.
As we knew a bit more about him, we wanted to know how did he record, if he was on his own etc : I did everything on my own with nobody to record with or master my shit ,I record at my own house on a cheap ebay mic. I don't produce the tracks but I know how to produce. I find producers by going around, listening to niggas songs and if the beat throwed ima fuk with that producer. Keep a look out on my upcoming shit, you'll know more soon.
If you had a look at his soundcloud you sure noticed the visuals and all the drug related pictures. About that, I sometimes record on syrup ,pills ,both but other times i be sober. Finally we wondered, what does a young nigga from Prairie View listens ? Is there any chance its the same thing as a white girl across the ocean ? I listenin to alternative shit like Toro Y Moi , HackMan and old school funk like sos band ,rick james and funkadelic and of course Down South Music too.
