Little Mission: Rejected roommate headcanons:

(spoilers up to 3x04 because that’s how far I’ve gotten since finding the show uhhhh not very many days ago)

- Skip never stops moving until he is asleep, and Mackenzie hates it. If he would stop vibrating with nervous energy while he was awake, he wouldn’t be so fascinating to look at when he’s asleep on the couch or the floor beside a half-rearranged bookshelf or in a pile of papers that fell from their files when he dropped them

- Skip’s hair is unfairly soft for a man who waters down his shampoo and has an elaborate water-and-power-saving shower schedule in a spreadsheet on the bathroom door. Mackenzie’s shampoo and conditioner are both store-default and staying that way, thank you very much, Skip

- Mackenzie is mostly only a pain in the ass when Skip is looking. She may purposefully not do any of the tasks on the chore wheel, but she has ever hacked the ride-sharing app to funnel him work when he was most stressed about money or subtly push problem patrons away from him

- One of Skip’s cleaning routines is blowing crumbs out of Mackenzie’s keyboard with a can of concentrated air once a week, as he wipes down every surface in her workspace. Once, he tried to put it back at the wrong angle, in the hope that she’d notice for once, but he couldn’t quite bring himself to do it and had to run back and straighten it before she saw

- Skip is extremely insistent about both of them taking vitamins, especially given the amount of cheap and/or junk food they live on. Mackenzie has been smuggling a supplement for one of the vitamins their shared jar of gummy multivitamins doesn’t cover into Skip’s cereal for more than a month, to make sure he doesn’t get a deficiency or freak himself out and buy them even more sets of vitamins

- Mackenzie funnels Skip long-distance ride share requests when she feels most trapped, to keep him away from home

- Mackenzie hates living with Skip, except for the times she doesn’t

- Skip is a snuggly sleeper and doesn’t know how close he gets to her when he falls asleep on the couch in the middle of a movie. Mackenzie doesn’t admit, even to herself, how comforting it is to sometimes just let him sleep with his head in her lap and pet his hair. It’s like having a big dog. Or a little brother.

- Mackenzie wonders what it was like being his sibling when he was a kid. She knows what it’s like now. It freaks her out, sometimes, thinking about him visiting his parents and what that would be like. Would he take her with him? Would he leave her behind? Which would she want?

Redid those old Mission Rejected drawings, improving on several aspects that i really didn't like.

Started mission rejected over this week, and I always forget how good of an episode 1.7 is, as someone who loves the dynamic between Skip and McGrath it’s always so much fun listening to what I think is the real beginning of their friendship.
