SERENDIPITY CREAMERY

CASE

East German-born graffiti artist Andreas von Chrzanowski, aka CASE, one of the founding members of the MA’CLAIM crew, started using spray paint in 1995 and is one of the founders of photorealistic art in the graffiti world. He prefers figurative compositions, most often hands, and is quoted as saying “There is nothing more powerful and universal than hands. Drawing hands is a way to express words without using words.” Streetartnews.com reports that this 2014 work is dedicated to Tugce Albayrak, a female student beaten to death when she tried to stop two guys from hassling other girls near Frankfurt, Germany. The mural is on the front of popular ice cream and yogurt shop, Serendipity Creamery, on 26th St. in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. @case_maclaim @streetartnews @serendipitycreamery @wynwoodmiami
