Okay not to be that theatre kid, but the way shakespeare is taught in highschool is complete bullshit. Of course no one likes it Shakespeare first of all no one bloody understands it because english has moved on, but second of all Shakespeare is meant to be preformed.
Macbeth isn’t supposed to be a reading experience. You’re not doing Macbeth properly unless you’re watching it in a theatre, struggling to piece together context clues, and trying to pretend that you’re not incredibly attracted to Lady Macbeth. No this isn’t a real example I definitely didn’t experience any kind of sexual awakening while watching Lady Macbeth belittling her husband and convincing him to murder someone what are you talking about.
