The pressure from Emhyr begins to make people pop.
“So, Kiera has been reassigned from her duties and she is to take over care for Priscilla?” Ciri asked and Lambert grunted.
“Yeah,” Lambert said through a mouth full of bread. “Kiera has been a good sport this whole time, but her time in Velen, well, it made her appreciate the quietness of country life more then she realized. She is relieved. Personally, I am glad to have her out of there. It’s a tinderbox waiting to go off.”
“What makes you say that?” Geralt asked.
“Well, as you have been absolutely out of the loop - me, Eskel, Letho, the bears, and the cats have been snooping. Listening. We have ignored the whispers about Emhyr, for the most part, as that is known. No one has said anything we don’t know about anyway. However there are more political plots going on in that place then you can shake a stick at. Earlier this morning I was woken up by that Rivian spymaster and together we managed to thwart a plot on Meve.”
