Emma was backing up slowly. She’d walked into the wrong clearing at the wrong time. She should have looked first but the forests were usually so quiet out this far. She didn’t expect to see the group of people turn to look at her with angry eyes and harsh expressions on their features as she stepped into the forest, making just enough sound to cause them all to turn their attention to her.
A string of curses ran through her mind as she held up her hands in a surrender-like motion. However, she knew that likely wouldn’t work as one turned to her, smirked and started towards her. “Please... I don’t... I mean no harm.”
It didn’t matter the man continued to come towards her. Quickly too- and Emma turned and ran. She was good in the forest, she’d run and jogged through it enough times she actually did it at a fair speed. However it didn’t seem to be enough and she knew she would lose a fight should a fight happen. So she ducked behind a large tree, hoping those following would loose sight of her. She did not however expect to come face to face with a red headed woman though. Panic in her eyes she scanned her over, trying to figure out if she was a threat or not. “Please don’t hurt me.” Was all she managed, her brain and senses not really helping her figure out if she was danger or not.
