You are really a great ambassador for Scotland! I'm IN THE US and I've been several times to Scotland but never to Skye or Stornaway. With 4 or 5 nights, what type of itinerary would you suggest? There seems like so much more to do in Skye but I still want to visit Stornaway, where my granddad is from and the home of the world's best black pudding.
Hi there, thanks, I love my country but it does have it’s warts as well and I do post about them now and then. It’s been a long time since I have been on Skye or the Outer Hebrides and couldn’t really do an itinerary, there are the usual places you must see, the Fairy Pools, Storr, Neist point, there are many beaches, Talisker Beach is the easiest to access, Camas Daraich in my opinion the prettiest but a fair wee walk. The castles of Dunvegan and Armadale, in Dunvegan you will see the famed Fairy Flag.
The main things on the western Isles are the beach at Luskentyre and Callanish Standing Stones as well as the village of Arnol and it’s Blackhouse and Gearrannan Blackhouse Village, but the thing I would love most to is take a boat trip to St Kilda, I hope this gives you an idea.
