every single day i think of the lost potential shirogane tsumugi had as a character, antagonist, and mastermind and it pains me so much to think that all that potential and beautiful visual design have been wasted.
i never liked the 'kiibo was human and now is a cyborg' theory because it just feels edgy and strips away the interesting parts of kiibo and his potential development, but some of the evidence i've seen for it is so weird and poor..?
the worst one i've seen by far is the fact that he sweats and blushes in his sprites. well so does nidai when he's turned into a robot by monokuma? and on the subject, all of the monobots and usami also blush and sweat. it's a stylistic choice.
it's just such an overtly edgy theory djjdkfkf like what does it add to the story besides owo hooman expewimentation!!

i said it before, but here it is again, i have issue with dr3′s canonicalness and don’t see it as an argument in this because;
even if i were to take it as canon in this argument, hinata wouldn’t remember that, so there’s no point arguing that they have some mythical sense of ~love~ or ~longing~ for each other despite not knowing one another and nanami acting completely different.
nanami’s portrayal in dr3 and sdr2 is contradictory. they are different, right down to their intellect levels. dr3!nanami forgets her staple ‘sleepy and passing out everywhere at any time’ quirk that’s been established for 4 years in 1 episode and behaves like, essentially, naegi, because the plot requires her to not be passive like she was in sdr2. it’s not development, it’s a different character.
hinata’s character had to be forcibly tweaked for them to interact. hinata didn’t care for games in sdr2 but in dr3 they say he played some random game nanami just happens to love several times, despite the fact his curriculum as a reserve course student has to be loaded. his first year in the reserve course is the only time frame for him to play, and that’s exactly the time frame in which he’s most unlikely to be playing.
their interaction only fucked up the chance for exploring reserve-main course dynamic. nanami’s words and nanami’s existence in dr3 literally contradict each other. having a talent can suck, being tied to it can suck, says the girl who will get the entire class to love her within a day due to her talent. and since the writer and staff love her there was never any criticism thrown her way or literally anything interesting happening.
dr3′s explanation and attempt at merging dr3!nanami and sdr2!nanami makes no sense. you cannot just design an ai and hope the person who’s appearance and personality it will take on will suit a passive observer ai. it also tries to forget that kuzuryuu’s sister and koizumi’s very close friend (in dr3 they imply some attraction) were murdered. and it was a painful experience enough for the twilight syndrome tragedy to happen. koizumi covered up a murder for satou, kuzuryuu killed for natsumi. these two would not care about seeing some classmate of one school year, they would want to see their loved ones of years.
it’s bad writing, and it’s fine if someone is not critical of it and accepts it, but they also need to be aware not everyone is the same way and not everyone is going to just accept it especially if they can explain in exact details why something is Bad.
