Why I love my jacket

If you look at old photos of G.K. Chesterton, you'll see that he walked around with something very like a tarp draped over him at all times. This was because he was such a bad dresser that his wife made him this cape-thing and insisted that he wear it to preserve his dignity.

My Madewell jacket is snazzier, but it serves much the same purpose.
