Rambling about Mr. House:
Once you’ve finished delivering the Platinum Chip and upgrading the Securitrons inside Fortification Hill.
I've always liked the progression of asking Mr. House follow up questions after each task he gives you.
How overtime he slowly starts getting a little nicer.
Courier Six: "I'd like to ask some questions."
Mr. House: "I'd rather you just dealt with the Boomers, but all right..."
Mr. House: "I suppose the Omertas can wait a few minutes."
Mr. House: "A few questions, and then you'll handle the Brotherhood, I hope?
That is until you start asking questions at the most INCONVENIENT time like when assassins are after President Kimball. A man Mr. House NEEDS alive.
A mission when you agree to do Mr. House flat out tells you, "Don't dally, The precise time of Kimball's visit is a closely-guarded secret, but will happen soon."
So taking up time to ask him follow up questions gets you the FUNNIEST RESPONSE:
Mr. House: "Questions like "Will President Kimball survive his visit to Hoover Dam?"
Then if you try talking to Mr. House again he gets EXTREMELY ANNOYED!!! IT'S HILARIOUS!!!!!
Mr. House: "Last I knew, President Kimball wasn't scheduled to visit the Lucky 38. Be on your way to Hoover Dam, will you?"
Courier Six: "Sure, off to the dam I go."
Mr. House: "I'm sure the assassins will wait for you to show up."
After that on your next task you don't even get the chance to ask him follow up questions. He makes sure to thoroughly explain your task. How to install the override module chip at the El Dorado substation. Including what to expect while there.
The only thing you can ask about is the Lucky 38's dormant reactor that Mr. House mentioned not the mission itself. Which he'll give you an in-depth answer on. (You can’t convince me Mr. House isn’t proud of the Lucky 38 and wouldn’t talk about it for hours).
Once you've finished and report back to Mr. House. The Legion's assault will begin at ANY moment so Mr. House wants you to head to Hoover Dam.
When you ask follow up questions on the battle that's about to happen his reaction is gold.
Mr. House: "Even now? On the brink of battle?"
However he’s a little more understanding if you need to delay heading out.
Courier Six: "I have some things to take care of before the battle."
Mr. House: "Then handle them with dispatch. The Legion's assault is imminent."
He's so funny. I love him.
It makes sense he’s so fussy when there’s a short window of time to complete something. When you consider he was only one day off on having the Platinum Chip delivered before the Great War started.
He knows how every second can count.
