I feel... lost. I'm not the only one to suffer this fate in this system, at least. He and I bond over this often.

Like... I'm a doctor. A medic. How did I learn all my medical knowledge? A mix of reading textbooks and trial and error. I had to, I had to adapt so fast to the world's new changes. I didn't have the opportunity to go to university for an actual medical license.

And yknow? I think all three of them knew that and didn't care. All four of us seemed to be of the same mindset. "I'm not going without a fight. Even if all I have left is a stick, I'm fighting with it." Hank, Deimos, and Sanford all shared that sentiment. I was just there to keep them alive.

Hank especially. Everyone portrays him as cold, harsh, violence embodied. Yes, he is those things. But there's more to him than that. He was patient with me, even through the pain. He sometimes knew more than me, or understood a concept better, and would help me work through it. He's not as heartless as most people think of him.

Just like Deimos is more than just pyrokinesis and cigarettes. He's jokes, he's care, he's the reason we kept our morale for so fucking long.

Just like Sanford is more than "ugly" memes, sunglasses, and no shirt. He's calm, he's stability, he's a warm fire when the cold tries to kill you.

I may never find you three again. I may run into you at the store for all I know. One thing's for certain, though.
