Abstraction in My Amazing Digital Playground.

TADC 9 Spoilers ahead.

In My Amazing Digital Playground, Abstraction is a much more voluntary experience. Like in TADC, abstraction is a buildup of stress and anxiety and mental issues. Everything piles up until you cannot take it anymore and there is only one way forward.

Unlike TADC, however, you have to give in to abstraction. You have to give up, maybe even want to abstract. To believe anything, even ceasing to exist, is better than this anguish.

Trying to still follow along with the main story beats of the original series, I think it makes things much more upsetting. In Jazz's (Jax) case, his abstraction will be giving up. There will be no "I don't want to go." There will be regret, pain, apologies that will never be able to be told, and the unshakeable feeling that he will never be able to make up for everything he has done.

And then, there will be nothing. No Jazz, none of the guilt. Just the memory. Pomme and the rest of the players will have to deal with the fact that Jazz couldn't take it and instead chose to abstract, and that's whatever they make of it.

Also, instead of "Isn't she lovely", the song I would use for the end of MADP would be "Please, Please, Please, Let me get what I want" by The Smiths.

Sign the Petition to Stop the Execution of Lance Shockley

Lance Shockley is scheduled to be murdered by the state of Missouri on 10/14. He was sentenced to death by a judge, the jury was deadlocked

Missouri plans to murder Lance Shockley on 10/14/2025. Lance has always maintained his innocence and MADP supports him on his claim.

The jury did not impose the death sentence. He was sentenced to death by the judge, not a jury of his peers. The jury was deadlocked.

Law enforcement identified over 500 investigative leads and multiple alternative suspects, many of which were not run down.

The case is based on circumstantial evidence - the state admits this! No direct evidence ties Lance to the crime: no blood or bodily fluids, no DNA, no hair, no fingerprints, and no eyewitnesses -- more information can be obtained at the website link below.

The case involves “junk science” which is not scientifically sound.

The integrity of the trial has been called into question.

The jury foreman brought a self-published book to trial, a fictionalized autobiography describing murderous vigilante justice against a drunk driver. He brought the book to deliberations and showed it to other jurors. Lance’s trial lawyers never questioned anyone about the book.
