Rafa wins the Madrid title...

... by retirement. I was hoping for Rafa to win this fair and square but that didn't happen. He looked really nervous on court today, didn't play half as good as he did on the previous days but managed to stay close and fight through. If he had given up earlier maybe Nishikori would have been able to close out the match before his back gave out. Hopefully Kei will recover fast, he put up a great fight today. As for Rafa, hopefully he will be more confident now.

Another good match from Rafa :) He had two little mental lapses at the end of each set where he made more errors but he quickly refocused and got the job done. Lots of hot shots today, hope to see that tomorrow too! Vamos! :D

Rafa's through to Semi-final!

I've never thought I would be this happy saying this. Finally Rafa played a great match. Lots of beautiful winners and not so many errors. Hopefully this win will give him a huge confidence boost :D Vamos!

Grigor won against Copil 4-6 6-3 7-6. 

He plays today on Arantxa Sanchez Vicario court against Tomas Berdych, not before 2pm.
