Friday night I didn’t post about a movie.
Because sometimes life is more interesting than movies. Mine certainly was over those last 24 hrs. In a nutshell:
FRIDAY:
Went to work. Finished at 3pm.
Went home. Changed my clothes.
Made my way to Tye Tribbett’s concert in Camberwell, South London.
Got there 6.30 for ‘door opening’. Doors opened @ 7pm. (Cold.)
Sat with my big bro P.
Bumped into my friend J and my cousin T.
Left the concert @ 11pm.
Went to Battersea for my cousin Shean’s 30th birthday. (It was an ALL NIGHT ting. :D)
SATURDAY
Left his place @ 12.45am.
Waited for the 344 bus. …
Waited for the 344 bus. (Tweeted about this. 344 was ATROCIOUS Sat night!)
Got on the N44 bus @ 1.15am.
Got to Charing Cross @ 2, 2.15am.
Tried to get on N15 bus no.1. Failed.
Went and got McDs.
Tried to get N15 bus no.2. Failed.
Got on a packed N15 bus no.3.
Two young ‘English’ girls start racially abusing a Polish chap because he didn’t realise he was sat on a ‘priority’ seat, and (at first) didn’t give up his seat for an elderly lady.
(Hence Part 2, which is coming up.)
Spitting happens. Kicking happens. Slapping happens. Swearing happens.
The girls got off the bus.
The bus has an accident with a taxi. (Passenger suddenly jumped out of the taxi on the right-hand side of the bus - taxi door and bus crunch.)
Bus and taxi pull over. Drivers exchanged vitals.
Empty N15 bus no.4 drove past. (People groan.)
One chap decides to go to the loo old skool style.
I offered my anti-bacterial handgel. Offer declined.
Bus drives on. (People cheer!)
Got to Canning Town and picked up P’s car.
Got home @ 3.40am. Went to bed.
Woke up @ 8.30am to move my car to make space because my neighbours are moving house (removal van, etc.)
Car battery is dead.
Me and neighbour push my car with Mum steering.
9am - I properly went to sleep. (Not that kind of sleep.)
2pm, my friend (a technician from a Major car company) comes to check my car. Has to jump-start it, but the removal vans are in the way - he can’t manoeuver his car closer.
3pm, the removal van goes. My car gets jump-started, and my clutch is worked on.
3.45pm, my friend leaves, and I turn my car off.
3.50pm, car battery is dead.
4pm, my friend comes back and charges the battery again.
4.30pm, my friend leaves.
5.15pm, I turn the engine off, after spending 45min in the car, revving the engine every so often, just to be sure the battery is working HARD.
Then I get ready for a work Christmas dinner.
The day just doesn't stop(!)
