The King has decreed that his youngest son, the renowned Prince Maekar, the Anvil, Hero of the Battle of Redgrass Field, is in need of a new bride and who better to help him find one than the good people of Tumblr and the loyal supporters of our Lady Saviour?
Our poor, tormented Prince Maekar is once again on the marriage market. Not merely because he is a lonely, grumpy dragon of a man, but because surely a prince who fought so gallantly to get Baelor and his Lady Saviour together he deserves a reward for his heroic efforts (and all the suffering they cause him)
And, perhaps, a suitable marriage might even give Maekar the perfect opportunity to get his own back on his scandalous brother.
So, lords, ladies and nobles of Tumblr, the choice is yours!
Who should become Maekar's bride?
Who is worthy of taming the Anvil?
Who can survive being married to the grumpiest dragon in Westeros?Who can turn him into a purring kitten?
⚔️ Vote below and help Prince Maekar find his bride! ⚔️
May the best lady win and may the Seven have mercy on Maekar's future wife...and poor Maekar he is in for more suffering because we all love it :P
If you told Baelor you want another baby... he would try to start a debate. He already has two sons; there's no need for more, but when he sees the desire in your eyes, he gives in.
If you told Maekar you wanted another baby... he would look at you like you just proclaimed your loyalty to the Blackfyres. He would glare at you while also backing away from you. "Begone, woman." He tells you as he leaves the room.

Summary: A marriage pact was made between you and Prince Daeron years ago. Now, the wedding day arrives, and Daeron's decision to flee forces you down a different path.
There were vague memories from all those years ago, when you were a mere child of eight, clad in black fur and a light gray gown, with the young Targaryen prince by your side, with red silk clinging to his slender frame. You found him a bit odd, having heard many tales of the Targaryens with their otherworldly violet eyes and silver hair. This one seemed quite plain, with dirty blond hair and periwinkle eyes. You remembered he looked sullen as well, not a smile to be found on his face. King Daeron the Good had sent his two sons, the war heroes, to Winterfell to broker the pact to unite the houses. Later you would learn that King Daeron wished to marry the Targaryens into as many noble houses as he could to diversify the bloodline. Following your mother's instructions, you nodded and smiled before lowering into a curtsy to thank the princes. Prince Baelor was kind, with sparkling eyes of different colors, and you remembered how he kissed your hand. Prince Maekar seemed uninterested, his pockmarked face twisted in a scowl. These memories clung to the corners of your mind like wispy smoke, pushing far from your mind until the wedding day finally arrived twelve years later.
It had been a long trip to Summerhall, and the warm weather didn't agree with you. It made you feel irritated and restless. Your dress seemed unbearably heavy as you tugged at the sleeves and high collar, wishing to rip it off and go running naked through the woods. Mayhaps if you pretended to be mad, you could get out of this whole situation. The wheelhouse came to a stop, and you were eager to throw open the doors to get some fresh air. The stuffiness was almost intolerable. One of the Stark guards opened the doors and offered you his hand while you descended the steps. The lush greenery and perfectly manicured topiaries that surrounded the courtyard almost took your breath away. You deeply inhaled the fresh air as a gentle breeze fluttered around you.
Prince Maekar stood with his children in the stone pathway to greet you, the family dressed in black and red, the perfect image of Targaryens. Daeron stood to his right, looking as sullen and forlorn as ever, making you stifle a giggle. He was taller, but no less different, it seemed. Your mother gently nudged you, taking your hand as you walked closer.
"We thank you for your hospitality, my prince," your mother said as you both lowered into a curtsy.
He grunted. "The pleasure is mine. Please come inside, I'm sure you're eager to rest after such a long trip. A grand meal is prepared for tonight, and the wedding feast will be held at week's end," he said before turning on his heels with his black cloak billowing behind him. Well, he certainly hadn't changed much from that gruff man all those years ago.
Suddenly, you found yourself surrounded by his two daughters tugging on your dress and hands while asking you a million questions. You took a deep breath and gave them a kind smile.
"Princesses, might I step inside and have some wine first? Then I will answer all the questions you have."
"Oh yes! Father has a cask of Arbor Gold that has been opened," the elder said. You would learn she was Daella.
The younger one, called Rhae, held onto your hand as you entered the white marbled palace dubbed Summerhall. Little amethyst jewels glittered in her pale, moonlit hair.
"I will fetch the wine for you, my lady," Daeron offered.
"That would be most kind."
You had hoped to catch Daeron in conversation, but after handing you a cup of wine, he skulked off with a wineskin in hand. After indulging in two cups and constant chatter, you retired to the guest quarters for a long nap, stripped free of your heavy dress and left in just your undershirt. You were rudely awoken later by a barrage of knocking on the door.
"Yes?" you grumbled, throwing them up with a heavy scowl to find Prince Maekar standing before you.
Those violet eyes raked over your body. The shift was thin and allowed him to see the outlines of your breasts and a faint peek of your nipples. Quickly, you crossed your arms over your chest.
"Forgive me, my prince, I…"
"I have brought you some lighter gowns to wear. I'm sure your Northern clothes are too warm for here in the Stormlands. Should you need alterations, there is a seamstress in the household," he said. You hated the way he said Northern, as if it were an obscenity. Still, you were touched by this thoughtfulness.
"Thank you," you murmured, and two handmaidens followed in with an armful of colorful gowns each.
"Which would you like to try on, my lady?" one of them smiled.
You were drawn toward the green silk that reminded you of shimmering emeralds; you had never seen such a vibrant color before. They helped ready you for the evening, rubbing oils into your skin and dabbing a fragrant perfume behind your wrists and ears before helping you into the gown. The bodice was tightly fitted and cut lower than the style you were used to, flaring out into a fuller skirt at the bottom. Tiny silver dragons with silver flames decorated the bodice. A sudden warmth rose to your cheeks as you studied yourself in the looking glass. You were instructed to sit before the two young ladies brushed out your hair. Once you were married and settled in Summerhall, you would send for your ladies, Cerelle Cerwyn and Mara Umber, to join you.
The handmaidens brushed your hair until it gleamed, then began to knot and braid it, styling it into an elegant half-up, half-down style. A netting of emeralds was draped over it, and you could not help but feel like a true princess. In the North, you tended to remain bundled up in furs and your riding leathers to join your brothers on hunts. Your dresses were rather plain and sturdy, as you had never cared much for fashion to your mother's chagrin. She would be in for a pleasant surprise tonight.
"All eyes will be on you tonight, my lady."
"You shine just like a jewel!"
"Thank you both, I hope…I would love for you to attend to me during my stay here," you smiled at them.
"Oh, it would be our pleasure, my lady!"
"Prince Maekar hoped you would be pleased with us."
"I am, greatly so. Might I ask a favor?"
They nodded, eyes eager in anticipation of your request.
"Would you tell me all you can about Prince Maekar's household? I would like to know more about them," you admitted.
"Glady, my lady!" they answered in unison. Over a fragrant orange tea, you learned of Prince Maekar's love of the hunt, Aerion's desire to prove himself a strong knight, Aemon's thirst for knowledge, Daella's love of song and music, Aegon's dreams of being a squire, and Rhae's enjoyment of dolls and rabbits. You noted how they evaded the topic of Daeron. Were you to never know your betrothed?
Evenfall soon came, and your mother arrived to collect you. Her dropped jaw and gasp of surprise delighted you. Your eldest brother, Eddard, now Lord of Winterfell after your father's death five years ago, gave a nod of approval as well. He would be escorting you during the wedding.
"My, look at you, my dearest. Prince Daeron will surely have all his attention on you tonight."
Though that would not happen. The prince was already deep into his cups and barely able to sit up straight during the meal. Maekar had a disapproving frown on his face, his intense gaze alternating between you and Daeron. The musicians began to play at Queen Myriah's behest, no doubt an attempt to distract from the awkwardness.
"Dance with your betrothed," Maekar hissed at his eldest son.
"I fear I cannot," Daeron hiccuped. You would bet he could barely stand up. He hadn't touched a crumb of food on the gold plate before him, but had consumed three glasses of wine. Red rivulets streaked the golden cup, and his eyes were glassy.
"Well, the opportunity becomes mine. Lady Stark, might you join me in a dance?" Prince Baelor offered as he stood and extended his hand. Dancing with the crowned prince was a great honor, and you would not refuse it.
"It would be my pleasure, my prince," you smiled, slipping your hand into his. You felt Maekar's gaze linger on you as you danced with his brother. You glanced over Baelor's shoulder to discover King Daeron whispering into Maekar's ear while soothingly squeezing his upper arm. Maekar waved to servants over to escort Daeron from the table. Your heart sank slightly as you were hoping to get to know him better this evening before the wedding took place at week's end. Perhaps another day.
"Lady Stark, my husband and I have a gift for you," Queen Myriah smiled, waving a servant over who held a red velvet cushion. Nestled on the plush fabric were golden earrings with three tiny rubies dangling from them, a golden chain with a lavish ruby, and a shimmering ruby ring inlaid on a golden ring.
"Thank you, Your Graces; they are lovely," you said, smiling and bowing your head.
"We do hope you will wear them on the wedding day," she noted.
"It would be my honor, Your Grace."
Despite the discomfort with Prince Daeron earlier, you were beginning to feel more at ease with the Targaryen family and were slightly touched by their generosity and Prince Baelor's kindness. You marveled at the Dornish cream swans served for dessert, delighting in their sweetness and decadence. The sour Dornish wine perfectly counteracted the sweetness, bringing the meal to an end, and the guests began to depart for their rooms, with various guards trailing behind. You waited for the guests to thin before approaching Maekar.
"Thank you again for the gowns, my prince; they are very lovely," you told him, gazing up at him.
He nodded, giving a soft grunt. "This one is rather…becoming on you," he said, one long, ringed finger trailing down the edge of the bodice, tracing over an embroidered dragon. "I cannot make many excuses for my son's behavior, but I hope you will be patient with him. Daeron has always been…different."
"A good wife demonstrates patience with her husband. I'm certain we will find our way together."
He snorted. "Is that so, little wolf?"
You nodded, feeling warmth curl in your belly when he called you that. "We Starks are made of strong stock. Us Northern ladies are not made delicately."
His hand pulled away from your bodice, slowly reaching for your cheek before hesitation overtook him and he pulled away. "So it seems." With that said, he left you in the care of your brother and mother.
The days passed, and you grew frustrated at being unable to pin down Daeron. Your betrothed seemed to escape you at every possible turn. You seemed to take the matter more seriously than he did. You had hoped not to marry a stranger, but the Gods, old and new, seemed to mock you at every turn. One afternoon, you found yourself wandering around the large estate and inside the stables. Though it was warm, you had dressed in your riding leathers during your exploration. The horses whinnied softly, and you found yourself taken with a black palfrey who had a white diamond shaped spot between her eyes.
"Hello," you cooed, stroking her muzzle and finding a handful of feed to give her. Her mouth was soft as velvet against your palm, a striking difference compared to her sandpaper tongue.
"You should not be out here by yourself," Maekar said, trotting in on his massive black destrier. A stable boy quickly rushed over to help him.
"I find better company here than in the palace walls." Your words sounded more bitter than intended.
"I will ensure Daeron dines with you tonight," he said, dismounting his horse gracefully and tucking his cloak behind him.
You snorted. "He has a way of disappearing into the walls."
"Geoff, prepare Velvet for Lady Stark to ride," Maekar instructed.
"I…than…"
He held up a gloved hand. "No need to thank me. Consider it an apology for my son's behavior. I will straighten him out. Enjoy your ride, little wolf."
Once Velvet was saddled and bridled, you mounted her quickly and without the aid of steps, clicking your tongue before taking off on her. Prince Maekar was left behind with an amused smile on your face. True to his word, a private dinner was arranged between you and Daeron that evening, but he was silent through most of it. Yet it did not dampen your good mood from the ride earlier, and perhaps having a silent, unimposing husband wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. You'd rather that than a loud and cruel one.
"We are on wed in two days' time; do you not wish to know me?" you asked softly before sliding the tender roasted duck between your lips. You were used to the gamier meats of the North: venison, rabbit, pheasant, and the occasional goose. Duck was your favorite during your time here, apart from the tiny stuffed quails, which were utterly divine.
Daeron drained his cup of red wine, his posture slumped. "It does not matter."
"And why is that?"
"We will not be wed," he whispered before standing, knocking the chair onto the floor. "But the wolf will marry a dragon."
You were left feeling bewildered as he fled the room, and suddenly your appetite disappeared. The taste of duck forever soured whenever it touched your tongue. His words haunted you, making you toss and turn and feel on edge until the wedding night arrived. It did not help that a strong summer storm rolled through with thunder crackling in the distance as rain thrummed steadily against the palace. The two handmaidens, Mya and Margot, helped you bathe in a fragrant mixture of rose oil and orange blossom petals, scrubbing your skin until it glowed and leaving your hair feeling like silk.
"Do try and rest, my lady," Mya encouraged, bringing you a warm tea to sip before bed.
"A bit of anxiety on the wedding night is normal," Margot said warmly as she rubbed your shoulders before wrapping you in your robe.
But in the morning, Daeron's words would come back to haunt you.
The hours seemed to pass as you paced the room in your ivory samite gown with small direwolves embroidered on the fabric in a delicate silver thread. Gray fur trimmed the collar and cuffs, and the long white cloak with the large direwolf head in the center dragged behind you. The golden and ruby jewelry gifted from Queen Myriah sparkled. Prince Daeron was missing, along with a horse from the stables and some of the household gold. It was clear he had fled under cover of the storm, and everyone was in disarray.
"Prince Maekar will track him down, my lady," Mya assured you.
And if he doesn't? Where would that leave you? You could return to the North; perhaps your brother could broker a match with one of the allied houses. Manderly, mayhaps.
A steward came to collect you, guiding you through the halls to a large solar located at the far right end. Your mother and brother stood with the royal family. The king looked exhausted while the queen looked vexed, wearing a scowl on her face that rivaled her youngest son's.
"What a beautiful bride you are," Prince Baelor told you warmly.
"Thank you," you whispered.
Your brother's cheeks were flushed, resembling a bold red wine, and you knew he had been yelling. Part of you wished you had witnessed the wolf who bared his teeth to the dragons.
"My sister has been shamed. Your kind words cannot fix this," Eddard growled, and your mother squeezed his shoulders.
"Calm yourself," she warned.
"He is right, I fear. The hounds have lost the scent, and we are told the horse prints seemed to have disappeared," Baelor sighed.
"Then what is to be done?" Eddard demanded.
A silence befell the room; many gazes cast towards the ground as you twisted the ruby ring around your middle finger, noting that Maekar wore a similar one on the same finger. The silence continued, carrying into uncomfortable territory and beginning to feel stifling. It felt hard to breathe, and you tugged nervously at the fur collar around your neck. Mayhaps this was a blessing; you could return to Winterfell and marry a Maderly, living amongst your people, your culture, and your customs. Daeron had given you a way out, taking all the burden onto his shoulders. Then Maekar spoke.
"I will marry Lady Stark."
Every gaze in the room snapped toward him. A sea of mixed expressions: confusion, shock, amusement, and disapproval.
"Maekar…" Baelor began to say, and Maekar held up a palm to silence him.
"She was promised a Targaryen prince, and I am one."
Good King Daeron sputtered. "The arrangement was for the young generations, my boy. Perhaps Aerion would be a better suitor, or Matarys even."
Prince Matarys was barely a young man of three and ten and Prince Aerion was a well known brute; you opened your mouth to protest, but your mother pulled you back and rubbed your arms to keep you silent.
"That is a generous offer, my prince. Might we have a private moment to discuss it?" your mother said diplomatically.
"You may, Lady Stark, take the time you need," King Daeron said, leaning on his cane. Queen Myriah slipped her arm through his, helping to balance as the royal family filed out of the room. No doubt to hold their own discussions.
"I will not force you, but perhaps this is a blessing in disguise," your mother reasoned.
Eddard scoffed. "He is simply trying to save face. They have slighted the great Northern house and do not wish to start a war. I'm certain they remember how we didn't get involved with their little Southern civil war and hold it against us."
Your mother fixed your eldest brother with a glare. "It was too long a journey for the North to get involved in; the king understands that."
"Those Targaryens never forget a slight. This is their revenge."
You paced the room while your mother and brother argued. Maekar had seemed kind enough to you, paying you attention while his son did not. He did not lack for heirs, so perhaps he would not treat you like a broodmare. Yet you would still be trapped in the South and tied to certain expectations as a prince's wife. Maybe common ground could be found. You could show Maekar how independent and strong the women of the North were. You heard he loved a hunt, as did you. It seemed you knew about him more than you had Daeron, and that seemed like a good starting point.
"I will marry him," you said steadfastly as you turned to face your mother and brother.
"What?" Eddard seethed, and your mother's expression softened.
"I said I will marry him. It is a generous offer, one he need not have made," you said. "Mother said it was my choice." Your mother drew your hands into hers and lifted them to kiss.
"I am proud of you, daughter," she said, smiling. "I have raised a fine young woman."
"Fine, let us be done with this blasted wedding," Eddard sighed.
You held your mother's hand as you walked into the red marble hall where the royal family waited.
"I will graciously accept Prince Maekar's offer to wed him," you announced.
King Daeron rubbed his haggard face. "If this is what both parties wish, then so shall it be. Let us not delay the wedding any further."
There were whispers as you stood in front of the High Septon with Maekar, reciting the vows before the cloak exchange occurred. The black and red fabric billowed over your ivory gown, shrouding you in a temporary darkness. You were now Maekar's wife. He pressed a chaste kiss to your lips, and you felt the rough, chapped skin, alluring in its own way. The feast that followed overflowed with wine and food, and you were delighted to be served up stuffed quail.
"You mentioned it was your favorite," Maekar murmured to you, enjoying a thick slice of nearly bloody venison.
"It is, but might I have a bit of yours as well?"
He raised a pale brow before sawing off a slice for you, lifting the fork to your mouth. You chewed it up, savoring the buttery softness and rich, earthy flavor.
"I do enjoy a good piece of venison, even better if I put an arrow in it myself," you grinned, washing the good down with a strong red wine.
A rare smile formed on his face. "You will have to show me."
"I would be delighted."
A few rowdy guests began to call for the bedding ceremony, and you stood, removing your husband's cloak.
"You wish to participate in such…a thing?" Maekar hissed at you in surprise.
"Oh, they are quite fun in the North; I'm no stranger to them. Don't tell me a Targaryen prince pales at them," you teased.
Maekar frowned, scowling as he stood. "I pale at nothing, little wolf." His violet eyes sparkled with well meaning mischief.
The lords and ladies began to rush forward, their hands tearing at your and Maekar's clothing while simultaneously pulling you toward the bedchamber. Fabric was strewn over the marble floors until you stood before your husband in the chambers with him in a thin pair of linen breeches and you in your silk chemise and silk stockings. He was lean and muscular, white hair decorating his chest in thick tufts. You could not help but run your fingers through it. Those large hands cupped your face as he bent his head down to kiss you properly. Commanding and rough, drawing air from your lungs.
He peeled away your chemise before sliding his hand between your thighs and drawing a nipple between his teeth. The sharp bite of them, followed by the delicate, tender tracing of his tongue, was wondrous. Fingers stroked you, making warmth swirl in your belly and wetness gather.
"I have never lain with a man before," you whispered.
"I have not lain with another woman since my wife died," he admitted. A velvety softness beneath the hard exterior. He was a man of many layers, it seemed.
"Will it hurt much?" You found yourself rocking against his fingertips, searching for more pressure.
"If you were with a fool, who doesn't know what to do. But I am no fool." Another win. You doubted Daeron would have been so thoughtful. You doubted one so lost in wine could even get his cock hard.
He lifted you onto the bed, spread your thighs before shedding his breeches. His cock hung heavy between his long, sinewy legs, the tip red and leaking, as he crawled between your thighs. His head disappeared, tongue lapping at your damp cunt and making you tremble. You didn't think it was possible to grow wetter, yet you did, leaving you feeling like a sopping mess. Two fingers gently breeched their way inside you, stretching you and making your cunt flutter.
A dizzy euphoric feeling danced through you, making you feel lightheaded while Maekar withdrew his fingers before rubbing his cock between your folds.
"Take a deep breath for me, little wolf," he whispered in your ear, his beard tickling your smooth cheek.
You breathed in deeply, and when you exhaled, he slowly sank inside you. An uncomfortable pressure flooded through you, making you whimper softly before your body adjusted. He remained still, his warm body resting against yours before he gave a slow roll of his hips. Unsure of what to do with your hands, you decided to press them against his shoulders before slowly moving them up and down his back in a soft caress. As he gave gentle thrusts, you grew bolder and squeezed his arse, feeling the muscles flex with his movements. An intoxicating pleasure swam through you, and an indescribable feeling crashed through you.
Your toes pointed and flexed, belly tightened, and your thighs trembled as you rode out of the wave as the pressure in your belly subsided. Maekar's face pressed tightly against the curve of your neck as his movements slowed and you suspected he had spilled inside you. The two of you remained pressed together, becoming one in all ways that evening.
Once again you were touched by his kindness and attentiveness as he wiped between your legs with a cool, wet cloth. He fell asleep first, still on his belly, and you watched his back rise and fall. How peaceful he looked. Perhaps this marriage would be a happy one after all. Prince Daeron leaving had been a blessing in disguise.
But the wolf would marry a dragon.
This little wolf would find delight in the big beast. For she too had claws and sharp teeth of her own.
I’d actually be really curious to know how the reader and Maekar in through the darkness would do in court in KL? Because other nobles would probably be really judgmental or dismissive and obviously neither Maekar nor the maekarlings would take it well, or honestly the rest of the fam

You were sat in your chambers within the red keep with your back to the stain glass window so you could feel the heat of the sun. Normally you’d sit outside in a garden and read. That is what your mornings primarily consisted of at Summerhall at least.
Peace, quiet and freedom to do as you pleased. Maekar dealing with raven delivered issues in his study and all the children sat in their lessons. You would read the latest book that Aemon had finished copying over into braille for you and enjoy the morning until eventually one of them trickled their way out of responsibility and to your bench in the garden.
Shockingly most of the time it was Maekar that tossed his tasks aside and sought you out, though Aegon certainly was his closest rival in terms of premature leisure time.
“People may start to wonder if I’ve kept you in bed for the entirety of the visit.” Your finger paused on the page not wanting to lose your place as he suddenly made his presence known.
“I’m sure you’d gladly accept those whispers.” Shoulders moving as you sighed before your finger began to slowly move again. He knew not to keep talking until you finished the page.
When your finger felt the last word you reached to your lap for the book mark and carefully put it in closing the heavy book.
“why have you hidden away in here?” Maekar was more direct this time.
“please, I’d just like to enjoy my morning husband.” Neither of you really enjoyed being in kings landing. You did not know your way around well, you needed an escort constantly and there were just so many people and those people were not used to you. It was as if they forgot how normal interactions were suppose to go.
Pity and concern was laced into almost every interaction you had here. Some people meant well, The Queen, your good mother, surely did but her hands rushing to fix your tea for you or help you sit down and always reminding people to not stare, dispit you not knowing they were, was draining.
“I don’t have any desire to be on display. Watched like an animal somebody’s taught to do tricks.” You bitterly muttered and got up from the window seat and walked right past Maekar to bed.
“who is doing this?” His jaw clicked as it clenched.
“It would be easier to make you a list of people who is not.” You sighed as you sat on the edge of bed and shifted under the covers. The maids had made the bed despite you suggesting they just leave the room as is. You had no plans to be out of bed much at all on this day.
“Who?” He sat behind you and pulled the blankets down a bit so you were covering half your head with them. “I would like to have a word with them.” He huffed. Offended on your behalf as he always was when these issues came up. It was as if nobody had any level of decorum.
”I fixed Rhae’s hair while I had tea in your mother’s solar and they clapped when I finished.” You stayed turned away from him. “All of them. Her and her ladies! It was a simple three stand braid to keep her hair out of her eyes while she played with her cousin and they bloody clapped!”
Maekar’s forhead came down to rest on your shoulder while he rubbed his hand up and down your back his strong fingers easily feeling the knots. He would not of brought you here unless he had to, a summons from his father was hard to deny.
“I will speak with them.” He said evenly. Clearly having needed to pull his strength together to say it so evenly.
“and the maids keep putting things in the middle of the fucking floor!” You snapped while sitting up suddenly, like you’d just thought up an entire list of grievances. You had.
“language.” He stroked your cheek. Both of you were being more mindful because Aegon had taken to the fowl language gladly.
“Oh-fuck off Maekar!” You shoved him off of you. You just wanted to complain and vent, his little quips only frustrated you more right now. “You don’t understand what it is like…” your anger fading away and showing more of the sadness that lingered just below it.
“help me to understand. I want to.” His hand touched your backs hesitantly, incase you really were opposed to his touch.
“it is hard to explain.” You whispered knees pulled up to you shielding yourself some.
“try.” He pressed and you grumbled against your knees shaking your head. You said nothing for a long time just let his hand run up and down your spine for a few minutes.
“is it only my mother who’s offended you?” He asked and you laughed dryly.
“No…and I know she means well.” You whispered, legs going back down and you turned towards his frame moving into it so he could wrap you up.
“It’s everybody here.” You gripped his side and took in a steadying breath when his chin rested overtop your head. “It’s as if they think I just stand about wherever I am moved and wait to be told of something. Or for some entertainment to be handed to me.”
“they can not imagine you capable of living as they do?” He was almost certain that was the crux of it or he wouldn’t be so bold to state it outloud.
“it’s humiliating.” His thumb is rubbing your cheek now, lips pressing against your head every now and again. “They told me Aerion was handsome…that he was quite skilled with his sword in the training yards.” You frowned “as if I, his mother would not know those things without having a stranger tell me?”
You resented being reminded of what you missed out on witnessing hit it ate away at you that people imagined you were so disconnected from your family that you did not know the simplest things about them.
“Everybody is a fool.” Maekar groaned and you knew he actually meant it, even if some of those people were his own family. “What else?” He prompted ready to take in every complain you had.
“Gods the feasts it’s to loud. To many voices. I can’t follow any single conversations and you hardly wish to talk there.” You grumbled. He smirked against your hair. Of you were trickling into complains about him being antisocial than you were certainly feeling a bit better about things. “And the food…it’s all so bland here.” Which was true. Court catered to everybody’s tastes so half the food had none!
“you wish to return home?”
“yes…”
“I’m required to remain here till the end of the next moon.” He reminded you and you chewed your bottom lip.
“I know.” You wouldn’t ask him to send you home before him, because it wasn’t in either of your natures to be away from eachother long.
“Perhaps it would be appropriate though for you to take the little ones home? I’m sure they’d be more comfortable back with their maids and septas and Nan. I’d not want them to fall behind in their lessons.”
“…and I cannot let them return home without me.” You thought outloud and felt him nod.
“No, never.” He tipped your chin up and your kissed him softly.
“I’m sorry I pushed you.” You whispered against his mouth.
“I’ve felt worse.” He assured and you smirked against his mouth.
“from me I’ve no doubt.” You laughed and he squeezed your hip agreeing.
“I can arrange a wheelhouse for you and the three terrors within the week. Get you back to Summerhall.” It really was your personal oasis.
“Can you wait until I’ve departed to go on your rampage?” You asked him fingers in his hair sitting up a bit more now that you felt heard and supported.
“I plan to, I’ll not have time for that until your departure?” He started to shift you back and before you could make any sort of comment asking him what exactly he meant by that you felt his mouth attacking your neck and hands squeezing your hips as he crawled over you.
Maekar Targaryen already plans to devour your body every single day and night until you leave. He’d not gone long without you and so he felt he had to ensure both of you had plenty of pleasure before having to abstain due to distance.
You hardly were able to notice people’s demanding language or their whispers comments about how you walked or sat or blood breathed because Maekar did not let you up from bed. Those whispers became true. He took you day and night until both of you just laid there limply against eachother.
He honored you and body each day until you left. He made good on his word and exhibited patience not saying anything until you were gone. But the moment he saw you, Daella, Egg and Rhae wheeled out the gates of the red keep he turned to his family and made his thoughts on their behavior and treatment of you very clear!
The next time you were required to be in kings landing it was for Prince Valarrs wedding to Kiera. You assumed that everybody’s demeanor was changed because of that event and having plenty to keep them busy. In truth it was still the lasting impacts of Maekar informing everybody that you were not a fool that needed to be handled with pillowed fingers. His deliver had apparently been quite memorable!
You were his very competent wife and mother to his children, and you would be treated as such! Not coddle or pitied, but respected.
I was wondering if u could do a maekar story where reader finally has a child after fertility troubles??
A/N: just a little Drabble, I thought this was a sweet idea hope you enjoy it!

You have been wandering, slowly, around the halls of Summerhall for half the day. Little shadows that are shaped suspiciously like Daella, Egg, and Rhae following not far behind. Of once they were tossing aside their lessons and snooping for a just cause. They were worried about you. Your groaning and wincing and Rhae had concluded earlier that you were waddling even more than normal.
The children had been warned away from using the word waddle…they found it hilarious how round you’ve gotten and how serverly that’s impacted your ability to move. Maekar banned the word from the hall after you’d broken down in tears one night laid in bed with him. “Do I look like a duck?” He had to bite back the laugh because your eyes were watery and the line between your brows told him that this was a genuine question and frustration you were experiencing. All hormone induced he was sure but that didn't mean your current feelings shouldn’t be considered important.
Maekar had rolled over in bed this morning and began his pursuit of kissing every inch of stretched skin. It was a ritual at this point, one that prior to this morning you had adored. His mouth against the tender fleas, his nose dragging on the heavy underside of your stomach and then his lips pecking each of your hips before soothingly mouthing at the sides of your poor tits which had gotten so big by this point that you’d gladly become milked like a cow.
This morning there had been some flicker of dread down your spine and an ache deep in your stomach and even Maekar's breath touching your neck made you groan in displeasure.
“Off of me, gods.” You whined like a bratty babe. “Have you not already done enough?” Your condition did not feel comfortable any longer and despite knowing that you had begged the gods to give you this child after so many unfruitful attempts, right now you were content to blame him entirely for the physical predicament you found yourself in. The one that had your pacing down the halls as nerves got the better of you.
You were scared and that’s partially why you had lashed out at your well meaning husband this morning. This was the furthest you gotten in any pregancy and the longer it went on the closer you felt to the babe in your womb, which made the fear heightened.
What if you lost this one?
So you hid in the halls, to be with your racing thoughts and avoid your husband and maids and his children that hurl question after question at you. Your anxiety was your elevated to deal with people. Though when the pain that was low and between your hips got stronger your groan and whine turned into a sound that was more akin to a growl. Fingers trying to grip at the stone walls as you hunched over holding your stomach.
“seven fucking hells-“ you bit out as it finally passed. It was a contraction, and not your first. You’ve been having them since this morning. Your waters had even broken but you hid the soiled dress from your maids because you were humiliated thinking you’d just lost control of your bodies facilities.
Egg had already gone running down the hall to go find his father. Daella and rhae charged forward towards you because the sounds you were making sounded very bad to their young ears.
“sit down-“ Daella turned quickly. “Father will be here soon.” She assured you and you grabbed the little girls hand gripping it as you eased back to rest your bottom against the bench under the window.
“you two are supposed-“ another contraction tore through you interrupting the statement for a moment. “To be in your lessons.” You earned. Thought you were greatful they weren’t when only a minute later Maekar was infront of you. Knelt down rubbing the side of your tense belly and cupping your cheek.
“Go fetch the maester egg.” Maekar knew the signs, he’d seen them six time with Dyanna and you looked much the same flushed, sweating, heavy breathing, cramps. “Have your waters broken?” He asked you lowly and when you nodded and gripped his arm from another contraction Maekar groaned. “Foolish fucking woman.” He muttered as he lovingly kissed your temple and lifted you up into his arms. Thankful he was not yet so old that his knees to issue with the movement or your additional weight.
“I-i think something wrong with the babe.” You panicked into his neck and he hushed you gently kissing your cheek once.
“No, wife.” He sighed. “They just wish to come meet you now, that is all. Nothing amiss.”
I turns out that you’d privately paced your way through the majority of the labor. The maester hardly had time to get your gown off before the babes head was out of you. Your hand so tightly holding Prince Maekar’s that he was not going to be able to be removed from the room. Not that she wished to be. He wanted to support you, he knew how frightened you were, how many times things had gone wrong for you when it came to children.
He’d be cross with you of isolating and possibly endangering yourself and the babe. But it would wait for another time, another day, all be wished to do right now was watch you hold the chubby daughter you’d just had.
Your hand let go of his when the girl was placed on your chest after briefly being wiped clean. She was so small, yet bigger also than you imagined. Her little legs filled with adorable rolls and her eyes were ere closed but the eyelashes were bright white and there were little wisps of hair on her head as well.
“she’s beautiful.” Maekar kissed the top of your head his large hand settling over yours on the babes back.
“she’s alright.” You blink away tears and kiss her tiny button nose. “She’s all I’ve ever wanted.” You looked up at him momentarily “thank you.” You whispered and he shook his head at the remark.
“thank you,” he kissed your temple and then his newest child’s. “You’ve done all the hard bits.” He assured.
Hi love your page . Could you do a smutty fic of maekar and reader were maeker is a doctor and reader is there for an appointment pleaseeee😊
doctor!maekar x patient!reader
Summary: When you meet Dr. Maekar, you both will need to undergo a short physical examination.
It had been raining since early morning. That was one of the reasons you had considered postponing you appointment. But in the end, you hadn’t.
you sat inside one of the examination rooms at a private hospital, your hands wrapped tightly around the strap of your handbag in your lap as you glanced at the clock on the wall for the third time. You had come because you felt you should get some kind of medical checkup. You're a very health-conscious person, until...
One day, you felt a sharp pain in your chest. It was like every time you accidentally touched it or had intimacy with your previous boyfriend, you would get an uncontrollable, stabbing pain. At first, you thought it was just your period coming or related to hormones.
As time went on, the pain became severe and became a problem when wearing a bra or moving more vigorously than usual. It made you think about breast cancer, something you only knew was that large breasts were susceptible, until it happened to someone with small breasts like you.
You immediately contacted a doctor when you learned you were at risk. You were very worried because you had never been sick or had any pre-existing conditions.
After a while, it was your turn. Your name was called from one of the rooms. You walked in and sat waiting. Finally, you heard the door open, followed by a man in a lab coat, with a beard, neatly styled silver hair, and glasses. He was very tall, well-dressed, and undeniably handsome.
His nameplate read Dr. Maekar Targaryen. His name was so cool. You swallowed hard before slowly straightening up in your chair, trying to listen to him speak. You felt nervous, sweating, because of an uncontrollable shyness. You're usually very sociable and have a good personality, but now you couldn't even look him in the eye.
The click of a pen and the typing on a keyboard brought you back to reality. He turned to ask you something. “So, how have your breasts been this past week?” he asked politely. It made you unconsciously clench your legs together, feeling a strange tingling sensation in your lower abdomen.
“Well…it just started this month. When I was showering, I accidentally touched it and it felt like a sharp pain—” You described your symptoms to him. He asked four or five more questions about your symptoms, and you answered well, though you remained nervous.
“Where exactly is it painful?” he asked. You nodded hesitantly, knowing it was just treatment, but why did your vagina feel so wet that your underwear was soaked? You looked at him; Maekar was writing something on your medical record.
“Around… uh… here,” you nervously raised your hand and gently touched the area just below your left breast. He glanced up, nodded, and then started typing on the computer again. “Just there?” he asked, his eyes still on the computer screen.
“Both sides,” you answered nervously, your voice soft. He nodded, turning to face you. “Have you had any sexual intercourse in the past month?” He asked, his eyes widening before he stammered. And I could only shake my head. You broke up with your ex a long time ago, which was before you even started experiencing pain under your breasts.
“I’m sorry to ask, but I was just speculating that if your partner gripped your breasts too hard, perhaps unintentionally, it might be the reason for the pain,” Maekar explained straightforwardly, his brows slightly furrowed in thought about the cause of your pain. “Please don’t think I’m being perverted; it’s just a suspicion. I’m trying to find the cause.”
You looked at him, smiled faintly, and nodded understandingly. “It’s alright, I understand. What do we need to do next?” you asked hesitantly. “We might need to do more in-depth examinations, such as physical examination. I might need to touch you.” Oh my God, you thought. A string of lewd words filled your mind in shock. Dr. Maekar was going to touch your breasts?!
You swallowed nervously, scrutinizing his face. He was probably in his 40s, but you were sure he must have been very handsome when he was younger. And he was still very handsome now. The negative thoughts about perversion made you unconsciously squeeze your thighs, rubbing them together under the table.
“I’ll give you a moment. Please take off your clothes and wait for me on the bed next to you,” he said, standing up and giving you a friendly smile before moving away. You pursed your lips, slowly stood up, and walked to the partitioned room inside the examination room. You opened the curtain and moved closer, trying to undress without much thought, even though you couldn't help it.
Just get it over with, you thought, before taking off your top. You took off your white long-sleeved shirt. Now you were left with only a brown lace bra. You hesitated, wondering whether to take it off or wait for him to take it off for you. No! I mean, wait until he comes in to examine you.
After a while, Dr. Maekar entered the room. He turned on the green light, slowly walked in, looked at you, and cleared his throat softly. “You seem nervous. Don’t worry too much, relax.” He turned to put down the examination board and arranged something in the corner of the room. “Think of me as your lover,” he said jokingly.
Crazy, you thought. What did the doctor just say? But you just smiled and laughed softly, shyly, before slowly answering, shifting on the patient bed, “It’s not the same.” You replied. “Okay, I’m sorry. What’s your nickname?” You gave your nickname. “Well, that’s a very beautiful name,” he said before beginning the first step.
“Please remove your bra,” he said. You nodded, then squeezed your eyes shut, unhooked the clasp, and admitted to yourself, it was embarrassing. Your ears were bright red, and Maekar couldn't escape your notice. This was purely a health issue, you told yourself. “Yes, I know it makes you anxious, but you don't have to be afraid with me, my dear.” His sweet words, perhaps unintentionally, made you unconsciously rub your thighs together. Did he know what he just said, Doctor?
Maekar told you to gently touch the area that hurt. You were very nervous, cautiously touching the spot, then squeezed your eyes shut and said endearingly, "Please don't think I'm being perverted, I'm very sensitive to touch." You explained before gripping the sheet tighter. Dr. Maekar smiled affectionately. "It's alright, my dear," he said before gently tracing the contours of your breasts.
He touched all over, searching for the painful area. "So soft," he said. You secretly swallowed. Was he complimenting you? Or what was it? Your breasts weren't very large, but they were full and inviting to touch. You involuntarily breathed heavily. Of course, Maekar sensed it. "It hurts here," you answered softly.
Maekar raised an eyebrow in curiosity before nodding and continuing to gently touch your breasts. It made you feel like you couldn't control yourself. Your lust was trembling in your chest. You felt an uncontrollable sexual arousal, perhaps unintentionally?
He slowly cupped your breasts in his hands before asking you how you felt. "I don't know," you replied. He repeated your answer, puzzled. You don't know? Perhaps it was because he couldn't yet conclude what disease you had. He pulled his hand away, and you felt a pang of regret that the touch had been taken away.
"Then I'll have to examine your nipples," he said. You looked up at him. Come on, darling, anything, please. You didn't care anymore if it was about treatment or not. You wanted him, just him, his touch.
His fingers touched both your nipples, rubbing them in circles. You instinctively arched your back and moaned softly, biting your lip to stifle the sound before Maekar whispered in your ear, "How does it feel, darling?" he asked. "It's so good, ah," you replied, moaning as he pressed your nipples firmly against his and rubbed them like toys.
you don't speak. your stomach flips when he gets like this, and you can't help but let out a small squeak you know he’s a naughty one when one hand wraps around your throat to get your full attention
you don't know how much time had passed before this hospital bed became the scene of your lovemaking. Now you're naked, sitting with your legs crossed in an M shape on the edge of the bed. One hand grips the mattress tightly, the other clutches Maekar's beautiful silver hair, which is now between your legs.
He's burying his handsome face in your vagina, tasting its sweet nectar, licking it as if it were the most important thing in his life. You moan softly, your voice catching in your throat. Maekar gets up and covers your mouth to silence you. "This place isn't soundproof, my love," he says, before kissing your sweat-dampened temple.
He then slowly unbuttons his pants, revealing his enormous penis almost bursting out of his underwear, making you almost drool. He slowly pulls his pants down, stroking it a few times before grabbing his wallet from his now-slipped-down pants. He pulls out a condom, tears it open, and puts it on his penis.
You watch, then slowly use your hand to help him, causing him to groan softly. Unable to resist, you move your clit, circling and caressing his penis up and down. Arch your beautiful breasts for him to admire before he slowly pushes his penis into your beautiful vagina. "It takes me all the way in, Sweetheart" he says.
"You're all wet, my love," he continued, slowly thrusting up and down your pink vagina. Then you both slowly began to kiss. Time passed, and you were practically having sex with him in the entire examination room, while the other patients and nurses were outside. You were so aroused you almost glazed over, wondering what would happen if someone opened the door and saw you two.
You were pushed down onto the bed, receiving the impact of Maekar's body. "You don't have a wife, do you?" you stammered, moaning softly as you kissed. "Of course not, beautiful," he replied, gradually increasing the speed of his thrusts. He panted heavily in your ear.
Before he climaxed, his semen filling the condom he was wearing, he slowly pulled away, stepping back to get dressed, still breathing heavily. The examination room was now filled with the scent of your bodies as you made love. He then turned to help you get dressed, putting on your shirt and kissing your temple, whispering how wonderful you were, how good he felt inside you.
Once you were dressed, he told you to wait on the bed while he went to get something. A moment later, he returned with birth control pills and some tissues to wipe your lower body, which was wet and sticky with his semen. "I've never had sex like this before," you said as he took care of everything for you.
"Me neither. You're lovely," he said, jotting something down on your patient sheet, as if it had just been a physical examination. "So, what am I?" he asked, turning to look at you and giving you a gentle smile. “I think it’s probably your hormones. Around this time, your breasts might be getting bigger because of ovulation.” You didn’t know much about this, so you just nodded awkwardly, looking adorable at him.
You got up and stood by the doctor’s table, asking if you could leave. He walked over and kissed you on the lips. “If you’d be so kind, would you leave your number?” he pleaded, half-mandating, leaning his forehead against yours. “I’m not one to just throw things away,” he said, making you laugh softly. You nodded, grabbed a Post-it note from the table, and hastily wrote your number on it.
“See you later, Dr. Targaryen,” you said, slowly leaving the room with your bag, not forgetting to wink at him.

neighbour!reader and neighbour!maekar came instantly to mind for this one because both are a needy mess for each other.
their relationship is full of ups and downs, just like any other but at the end of each day they’re wrapped up in each other for comfort.
maekar needs you pliant for him mostly after those long weekends. ones where his children have stayed over, possibly summer when the younger ones aren’t at private school and even his older children are spending time with him. when the house is full of life and you’re unable to find each other because you’re both so occupied with them.
he’ll completely melt from the way you interact with his children, you’re not going to replace their mother but you’re something else, another figure that they can go to, look up to for guidance. they all love being around you, even the older ones that don’t care to admit it. but they take up all your time, constant needs even into dead of night and by the time you guys have some moment to each other, you’re completely worn to the bone, and just holding onto each other underneath the sheets is all you can do.
maekar’s older children will be the ones to notice the looks that maekar is giving you across rooms, hungry, desperate looks that are full of longing. and they’ll be the ones to take over, to give you both a moment of peace to be able to give in to each other.
then maekar finds you, in the shower, and while you’re normally both so teasing in the shower, there’s something different this time as his naked body slides in behind you.
the moment his finger finds your chin, and he tilts your head back to look at him, something aches inside of you that desperately needs him. your lips find each other, and they barely touch at first, not until you turn your body to face him, and your lips lift up to reach him, only for him to pull back, holding you firmly at a distance.
it's no surprise when you whine, or pout those lips at him but he's firm in his grip, letting his lips slowly drift over to yours. you let him guide you because you can tell it's not just what he wants, it's a need at this point, and you're more than happy to be the mercy of his whims.
everything is soft and slow, lips pressing over yours again and again, chaste until he lets them settle into an opened mouth kiss that has you parting your lips for his tongue.
he takes his time like he's trying to draw every part of your body in his mind, memorise it so well he could sculpt your body with just his hands and memory. his fingers trace your thighs, your stomach, all the way up to your breasts, running over the skin like you're a fragile thing that might break if he's isn't careful enough with you. and the gentle presses of his fingers have you dripping without him barely even touching you.
you follow his movements, moving when he parts your thighs or his hand rests against one of your breasts, you move into him, pleading for more but not demanding it. because you understand how badly he has to be in control right now, how much it means for him to settle into your body and to get what he wants from it.
you don't even notice the switch from the shower to the bedroom, there's just a moment when you register sheets beneath you, and maekar's full body weight on you. even then your mind doesn't let it sink in, too focused on the way his fingers are knuckle deep inside of you, working you up to your third orgasm that very morning.
by the time you feel his cock against your thigh, it's a sticky mess, not just pre cum leaking from the tip but his seed spilling all down the length of him. you don't know when it happened, and if it had taken place at any other point you might have teased him for it, but you want him that badly that you just part your thighs further and wait for him to slip it inside you.
the room is filled with the wet noises of your cunt, and you whimpers every time maekar pushes himself all the way into you. it's too much, and yet not enough. you can feel him everywhere and your practically clawing at his shoulders to ground yourself. all while maekar is groaning in your ear, telling you just how good your being for him, his good girl, his angel. taking him so well, nice and deep.
the house is empty when you both go downstairs afterwards, and you can't help but giggle when maekar's face flushes a deep red at his sons texts. clearly stating that they thought it best to take the children out for a few hours...
but yeah, maekar just falls apart with you and definitely needs that like the air he breathes.
