2. A kiss on the cheek
The small woman pulled her sister into a hug before she placed a peck on the other woman’s cheek.
"Hiro?" Maemi called out to her son, wherever he was. "Come here, I made cookies for you!" ~maemihamada
Hiro was sitting in his room, his head resting on his desk. He felt sort of… down. Actually, he felt… really down. He had gotten a bad grade on a test because he had been distracted by something. He was beating himself up mentally, and he was dreading for Tadashi to come home later that day and ask him how he did on his test. Hearing his mother, he pushed off of his desk and started going down the stairs, his steps sort of kicking and slow.
He looked up at her when he reached the kitchen. ”Thanks, mom,” he said, smiling weakly.

Cass blushed, swallowing for a moment, “Well, yeah… but not at the same time. In a row? Maybe. My early 20s are kind of a giant blur.”

Cass nearly jumped up in excitement when she heard Maemi call from the other side of the couch. She looked up from her book before dropping it on the ground carelessly, she crawled over to her pregnant sister. Gently she placed a hand on her stomach, a moment later she felt a kick, she couldn’t contain the squeal, “Oh my god.”
She leaned down and talked to her nephew or niece, grinning, “Finally. We’ve been waiting for you to make some noise. We were starting to think you weren’t in there.”

Cass readjusted her scarf, securing to cover the bruised skin on her neck. She glared at her little sister, blush rising to her cheeks, “You say nothing.”
Her stare insinuating what she was gonna do to Maemi if she blabbed a word of it to their parents.
"So from what I can gather, I'm a better parent than Maemi."
"C'mon, Maemi, let's not fight over this. Every inch of us is perfect from the bottom to the top. We're both beautiful."
