sharing a bed startersstatus: accepting !!maeum turns over slightly to look at him, her brows furrowing. “well, if someone wasn’t so concerned about personal bubbles we would be able to fit fine.” she replies with a small frown, pulling the covers up closer to her. the two were on their way home from a day trip to one of the amusement parks nearby. however, on their way home, a terrible storm had hit that was going to last all night, so the duo reluctantly found a motel to spend the night at rather than attempting (and failing miserably) to drive through the heavy rain. and the motel just so happened to only have a room with one full size bed, making it a tight squeeze. eunwoo had insisted they try to keep at least three inches of space between them, forcing maeum to cling to the wall to try to abide by his stupid rule. a loud crackle of thunder that shakes the whole room makes her yelp and jump into his arms, regardless of his rule. she hated thunderstorms.

Send 🎄 for our characters under a mistletoe!status: still accepting !!she peers up from underneath her eyelashes at the top of the door frame. there hangs the green plant above the two who just so happen to be under it at the same time. they were both trying to be the first ones to get the pizza from the delivery man at the door, but ended up jammed into the doorway together. maeum glances from the plant tied neatly with a red ribbon to the man who stands alongside her, her heart pounding and cheeks flush. their eyes meet and she lets out a sigh, knowing it may be her only chance to actually do this. “oh, fuck it.” snaking her arms around his neck, she leans in and presses a gentle kiss to eunwoo’s lips, letting her lips linger for a few moments longer than necessary before pulling away slowly and looking at him.

On the other hand, she knew deep in her heart it wasn’t intentional, nor would he ever intentionally hurt her. Hearing him say that reaffirmed her beliefs. But it still hurt, none the less - to walk into his apartment and see another girl sitting on his lip. Of course they didn’t have any sort of established relationship… but Maeum thought she made it fairly obviously that she was head over heels for him. “Youngjin…” she began softly, wiping away some tears from her eyes, sniffling. She wasn’t sure what else to even say. It was like she wanted to let out everything she was feeling, but instead her mouth refused to move. Instead, her body led her closer to him, her arms wrapping around him, her face buried in his neck as she took in his familiar scent, remaining silent as she began to tear up again. “I love you.”

Her laugh echoed off the bare walls of the waiting room. “That’s not possible. He didn’t even come in here with anything serious. He just had a bad cough. And quite frankly, shouldn’t you be taking your job a little more seriously?” The nurse stared at her solemnly and shook her head, repeating again that he had died. She laughed again, this time a bit more frantic sounding. “You’re lying. He…. he can’t have. He wouldn’t leave me. I dunno how much he paid you to play this joke on me but I’m about to go give him a piece of my mind.” She walked briskly towards the room down the hall, the nurse yelling after her to try to stop her. Another nurse near the room grabbed her arm and stopped her. “Miss, please… this isn’t a joke. Eunwoo is dead.” Her heart cracked in half - she was almost positive everyone could hear it. “No…” Her eyes began to sting. She felt like a concrete block had been placed on her chest. “No, he can’t. HE CAN’T LEAVE ME!” she yelled, tears now rolling down her hot cheeks. A loud sob erupted from her chest, burying her face in her hands. “He’s the only person I have in my life! He said he’d always stick by me!” The nurse put her hand on Maeum’s shoulder as she continued to sob, praying that this was some kind of nightmare. “I really can’t be without him. He was such an asshole sometimes, but he was my asshole. He put up with my attitudes and sarcastic comments…. I… I…” she sniffled, looking up from her hands. “I’m in love with him. And now I can’t even be with him.”
